at around 21:11 on May 3, 2021, driver Wang Moumou of Qi County, Henan Province drove a heavy-duty semi-hook truck with license plate number Yu PL3827/Yu P6A00 (loaded with 15 I-shaped steel, each with a length of 12.1 meters and a weight of 2.2 tons ), when driving from south to north along the Lianhang Expressway to 1 kilometer and 200 meters in Huzhou section, it rear-end collision with five vehicles including the Shanghai AFG7595 bus, Gan E3U095 bus, Shandong Q986GH/Lu Q9UF7 registered heavy-duty semi-trailer truck, Jiangsu E3Y29M bus, Jiangsu EHJ216/Anhui KGE01 registered heavy-duty semi-trailer truck, totaling 6 deaths and 3 injuries.
After preliminary investigation, 15 I-shaped steel loaded on the Yu PL3827/Yu P6A00 registered truck was not tied or fixed. During the rear-end collision, it broke through the truck cab due to inertia and hit the two passenger cars in front, causing the truck driver Wang Moumou and 5 people to be killed and 3 people were injured.
