[New entry regulations of South Korea]

Before leaving the country, you must issue a nucleic acid test certificate within 72 hours

(1) Starting from January 8, 2021, all foreigners entering South Korea must submit a nucleic acid test certificate.

*The Korean Department of Disease Management stated that all foreigners entering South Korea need to provide a PCR negative confirmation certificate issued within 72 hours of departure date;

(2) All foreigners entering South Korea (including Koreans departing from the UK and South Africa);

(3) In principle, the original Korean or the negative PCR test certificate in English should be submitted. If the original, Korean or English translation and translation confirmation materials are submitted in Chinese (not required);

(4) There is no restriction on the designated testing agency for foreigners departing from China.

South Korean Ministry of Law requires schools to conduct entry investigations for international students, and they need to have a clear entry isolation address and entry time. If you have confirmed your entry, you must promptly report your entry time and quarantine address to the school.

Students who apply for dormitory should check with the school whether the dormitory can be used for isolation. Don’t wait until you arrive in South Korea and find that there is no place to live; while students living outside the school can be quarantined at home (14 days).

1 Preparation before entry (in China)

① Prepare security health code in advance

If there are any relevant symptoms during self-isolation, report immediately.

Self-isolation matters violate, you will face punishment:

. Fine or imprisonment of less than 10 million won (Article 49, Article 79 of the Law on Prevention of Infectious Diseases, Article 16 of the Quarantine Law etc.)

. Forced exit or listed as re-entry prohibited Object (Article 11, Article 46 of the Entry and Exit Management Law)

. If a diagnosis occurs without complying with the isolation regulations, all treatment costs shall be borne by me.
