At that time, the imperial court was only supported by taxes from the Yangtze and Huai rivers. Suiyang was located in the middle of the Bianhe River section of the Grand Canal and was an important town in the Jianghuai River. , If it is lost and the canal is blocked, the consequences will be disastrous.
