Zhao Bin
Zhao Bin (1929-1967), from Zhaojiayuan, Chunlin Township, Pucheng County. He lost his father at a young age and was in poverty. At the age of thirteen, he was taken to be a strong man by the Kuomintang and suffered a lot. During the Liberation War, he participated in the Chinese People's Liberation Army , and made four contributions and received six awards. After his transfer, he served as deputy director of the Secretary-General of the People's Bank of China Pucheng Branch.
1967 he supported Sanxia in Baonan Township.
On the afternoon, a group of children were playing with balls in the west end of the village. They accidentally threw the balls into a dry well on the side of the court. The children called adults and tied up Zhao Jincai, who was only ten years old, and hung them down. Because this well was an abandoned well, villagers often threw domestic garbage, dead cats and dogs into the well. These garbage became moldy and rotten, causing severe toxicity. The child fainted as soon as he arrived at the bottom. The seventeen-year-old Hua Xiangchen hurriedly slipped down the rope to save the person. Unexpectedly, he fainted as soon as he arrived at the bottom. Then two villagers tied the ropes to the cellar one after another, and they all felt breathing difficulties and were hung up because they felt exhausted. The adults were in chaos, and the children's parents cried and shouted, but they had no idea. At this critical moment, Zhao Bin pushed the crowd away and said, "I'll go down!" Before people could react, he had tethered the rope to the bottom of the well, tied Hua Xiangchen with a rope, and signaled to hang people above him. When he tied the second person, he was exhausted. He forced himself to hug Zhao Jincai, and he fainted and the two children were saved. When people hung him up, he died of serious poisoning due to intense activities and excessive efforts.
After that, the province and county were posthumously regarded as a martyr and made a decision, calling on the people of the whole county to learn from him.
