Zhu De
On October 1st on the day of the founding of New China, Zhu De was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the People's Liberation Army of China. In the same month, he was appointed as the vice chairman of the Chinese People's Revolutionary Military Commission, and soon served as secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China.
At the first meeting of the first National People's Congress , he was elected as Vice President of the State and Vice Chairman of the National Defense Commission. Two years later, he was elected as a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, a member of the Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Central Committee at the First Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. At the Second, Third and Fourth National People's Congresses, they were elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee for a row.
Mr. Zhu is also a member of the 9th Central Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th Central Political Bureau. He died in Beijing in July 1976.
Liu Shaoqi
Liu Shaoqi is the first chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of New China. In September 1956, he was elected as Vice Chairman of the CPC Central Committee at the First Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Three years later, he was elected as President of the State at the first session of the Second National People's Congress and was re-elected at the Third National People's Congress. He died in Kaifeng, Henan in November 1969.
Song Ching Ling
After the founding of New China, Soong Ching Ling, as the vice chairman of the Central People's Government, undertakes many state activities. At the same time, she has also served as the Honorary Chairman of the All-China Democratic Women's Federation, the Honorary Chairman of the All-China Women's Federation and the Chairman of the National Committee on the Defense of Children of China.
At the first session of the First National People's Congress, Soong Ching Ling was elected as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee. At the Second and Third National People's Congresses, she was elected as Vice President of the State; at the Fourth and Fifth National People's Congresses, she was elected as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee.
In May 1981, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress was awarded the honorary title of Honorary Chairman of the People's Republic of China.
Li Jishen
After the founding of New China, while serving as Vice Chairman of the Central People's Government and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Li Jishen was elected as Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League in November 1949, February 1956 and November 1958. In September 1954, at the first session of the First National People's Congress, he was elected as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. He passed away in October 1959 due to illness.
Zhang Lan

Mr. Zhang Lan is a famous democratic revolutionary and educator. The images he left behind were always with long robe and beard. On October 5, 1949, after attending the founding ceremony of the Nationality Ceremony, he was invited to attend the founding meeting of the Sino-Soviet Friendship Association and was elected as Vice Chairman. In December, he continued to be elected chairman at the Fifth Plenary Session of the First Central Committee of the Democratic League. In September 1954, he was elected as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and in December he was elected as Vice Chairman of the Second National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
In January 1955, Zhang Lan was admitted to Beijing Hospital due to illness. On January 31, he published an article titled "No threat can shake the determination of the Chinese people to liberate Taiwan in the slightest". He died of illness on February 9 at the age of 83.
Gaogang
In November 1952, he began to serve as chairman of the Central Government Planning Commission and also as chairman of the Northeast Administrative Committee . He was transferred to the central government in 1953 and died in August 1954.
