He was a very old-fashioned party member. During the Great Revolution, Zhao Shidang entered the Guangzhou Agricultural Lecture Institute to study. Later, the right-wing Kuomintang rebelled against the revolution. He returned to his hometown to lead the worker and peasant movement and served as secretary of the Tongcheng County Party Committee of the Communist Party of China.
