11907, Xie Guoyi was born in a poor peasant family in Yongfeng Township, Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province. She was bullied and exploited by landlords since childhood. Although she was not old, the seeds of revolution sprouted in Xie Guoyi's heart early. When he was 21 years old, he bravely signed up to participate in the local peasant uprising.

Soon after, Xie Guoyi heard that Red Army came to his hometown, so he signed up for the army without hesitation and became a Red Army soldier. At that time, the Kuomintang reactionaries led by Chiang Kai-shek carried out "encirclement and suppression" in our Central Soviet Area for five consecutive times. Facing several times the siege of the enemy, the leaders of our party adopted movement tactics and smashed the enemy's four "encirclement and suppression" one after another.

However, during the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression", the highest military command fell on the consultant Li De. Despite the fact that the enemy is strong and we are weak, Li De actually fought a positional war with the enemy and even took the initiative to attack the enemy. Under the guidance of this "left-leaning" adventure, our army suffered serious losses, including the troops where Xie Guoyi was located.

It was in August 1934, in a battle in the Laoyingpan Highlands, where Xie Guoyi fought bravely and tenaciously resisted the enemy's attack. In the end, there were only nine left of more than a hundred people, and Xie Guoyi was one of them.

and Long March 3In the early stage, the enemy set up four blockade lines for our army. Although under the leadership of the Party, we successfully broke through these four blockade lines, our army suffered very serious losses, with only 30,000 people left, with more than half of them. At that time, Xie Guoyi was also seriously injured. The leader asked him to go back to his hometown to recuperate. Unexpectedly, Xie Guoyi actually picked out the bullets from the wound and marched tenaciously with a cane, and finally caught up with the large army.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Xie Guoyi was mainly active in Jinchaji Border Region . In October 1939, Xie Guoyi, then deputy regiment commander, led the troops to fight bravely, covering his nose with a towel, rushing through the enemy's poisonous gas and smoke, almost annihilated all the Japanese army. In this battle, Xie Guoyi severely damaged the Japanese water source Yoshio, annihilated more than 2,000 Japanese and puppet troops, and seized a large number of supplies. Later, experts in the history of the Anti-Japanese War called this battle the "Chenzhuang Victory."

During the War of Liberation, Xie Guoyi was mainly active in the Hebei-central region, and participated in the Pingjin Battle . Under the leadership of our party, he witnessed the birth of a great new China.
