He is 85 years old, and his life's experiences have enabled his eyes to transcend the mountains and emit a strange medicinal smell.

That day, I specially came to his fire pit.

He hesitated for a while, but finally gave up the hookah he was smoking and let me take this photo with some restraint.

Except for the moment when the flash was illuminated, the entire room was a hazy gray color. However, this kind of darkness is not depressing, but has a soft and waxy feeling.

The water pipe, due to the old man's handling for many years, has become shiny and waxy, giving people a greasy and slippery feeling.

Zhutang Township was once another Lahu ethnic minority mountainous township in Lancang County, Yunnan Province. On November 6, 1988, a 7.6-magnitude earthquake occurred here, and it went through the difficult years of post-disaster reconstruction.
