The party has given me everything
My name is Cui Helin. I was born in Ji County, Tianjin in 1928. I am 94 years old this year. He participated in revolutionary work in April 1947 and joined the Communist Party of China in December 1949. In 2003, with the approval of Baotou City Labor and Personnel Bureau, he went through formal retirement procedures from Baiyun Obo Iron Mine .
The troops led by the party liberated my hometown.
Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, my family was very poor. A family of six people lived in a dilapidated house of less than 15 square meters. The only shabby quilt in the house was burned by the enemy. In the following years, every winter, the family huddled on the kang and stayed awake all night, miserable. My parents worked long hours for the landlords all day long, but they didn't have enough to eat. When I was 11 years old, I started working for the landlord's family herding sheep and cattle. I was exposed to mosquito bites in the summer and cold clothes in the winter. I suffered all kinds of hardships in the world. It was not until September 1945 that the troops led by the Communist Party liberated Jixian County. From then on, the people in their hometown were able to turn over.
The Party gave me the opportunity to work
In April 1947, the 15th District Art Troupe led by the Party recruited actors, and I was fortunate to join. However, due to my lack of education, I switched to a job as a correspondent, and later also worked as a dispatcher, receptionist, projectionist, etc. In 1952, in order to learn culture, the party organization arranged for me to participate in the "Workers and Peasants Crash Course" affiliated to the Renmin University of China. In September 1953, my application to support the construction of the Chongqing Steel Co., Ltd. was approved. After coming to Baotou Steel, I was assigned to work in the Bayan Obo Iron Mine. It can be said that I am the earliest person from the Bayan Obo Iron Mine. I experienced various difficulties and obstacles in the early construction of the mine, and held various department-level leadership positions in the industrial and electrical workshop, recycling workshop, comprehensive plant, and health care office until my retirement in 2003.
The Party took care of me and enjoyed my old age.
Since I retired, I have chosen to take care of myself at home. Under the care of the Party’s policies, I have no worries about food and clothing, and I am in good spirits. All of this is given by the Party and is a blessing to the Party. Looking at the country as a whole, the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people are living a moderately prosperous life on the whole. Without the Communist Party, how could such a good thing happen? I am a person who came from the old society. I have personally experienced the tremendous changes in China. All these changes are due to the great and glorious Communist Party of China. Therefore, every son and daughter of China should be grateful to the Communist Party of China, and should always listen to and follow the Party.
Thanks to the Party, I am still in good health at the age of 94. The party’s birthday is here again. I changed into new clothes, put on the party emblem, and went to the community very excitedly to participate in the activity of reviewing the oath of joining the party. Here, I sincerely wish that the great Communist Party of China will always be vigorous and prosperous! I wish you success in convening the 20th National Congress of the Party!
