Jiugang Stainless Steel Branch was established in 2005. Due to the lack of professional technicians at the beginning of its establishment, the product quality is always out of standard. "Communists must be able to rush and stand at critical moments," said Pan Jixiang. He had been working on the front line of carbon steel for 12 years, and relied on his drilling and persistence in the stainless steel industry of Jiugang, he gradually understood the technical key points of various equipment and carried out process technology research. Work hard will eventually pay off. Pan Jixiang led the technical team to tackle one "hard bone" after another, and gradually overcome technical bottlenecks and quality problems. waste gas recycling steel, ultra-high carbon 6Cr13 (6 chromium thirteen) martensitic stainless steel , ultra-pure anti-electromagnetic shielding austenitic stainless steel , high-end decorative strip steel, nuclear power steel, hydropower steel... multiple products have broken the foreign monopoly situation, and the brand and image of Jiugang Stainless Steel Branch have also gradually established in the industry.
In 2013, Pan Jixiang led his team to establish the project of the major scientific and technological special project of Gansu Province "Double-phase Stainless Steel Product Research and Development". At that time, no one dared to care about the duplex stainless steel at home and abroad except Outokumpu and Taigang could be produced. "Why can't Jiugang be? We can do what others can produce!" With a strong sense of fighting, Pan Jixiang reviewed production plans, strive for test opportunities, and tracked process tests... Finally, after more than two years of unremitting efforts, Jiugang became the second company in China to successfully develop the 2205 Duplex Steel series products. The products were evaluated by the European Steel Research Institute to fully meet the standards requirements. The "Double Phase Stainless Steel Product Research and Development" project also won the first prize of Gansu Science and Technology Progress in 2018.
In 2020, the Stainless Steel Branch established an antibacterial stainless steel product research and development project team, and Pan Jixiang was the leader. Which route can ensure quick results? During those days, Pan Jixiang's entire thoughts and energy revolved around the word "anti-bacterial". Research and screen the incorporation ratio, stabilize and control the reasonable temperature, and compare the results... Pan Jixiang not only needs to work with the technicians, but also coordinate the production rhythm from multiple parties to ensure the smooth progress of R&D. Although the work is hard, Pan Jixiang is always energetic in the eyes of others. He also encouraged everyone: "As scientific and technological workers on the steel front, we must be determined to serve the country and produce 'hard core' results for the science and technology "fight the epidemic"!" At this time, the workers did not know that this technology leader who was sticking to the front line of R&D was unable to see things normally due to eye pain, so they could only use eye drops to relieve discomfort. After 35 days of day and night, Pan Jixiang and his team finally mastered the core technology of "anti-bacterial" and overcome the problem of precise control of antibacterial phase.
"We will study whatever the country needs." Pan Jixiang, who is over 50 years old, has presided over and participated in 21 provincial science and technology projects. The project he is responsible for has won 14 provincial and ministerial awards, including the first prize of China Metallurgical Science and Technology, and has won the metallurgical industry Excellence Award for many times. Although he won many honors, Pan Jixiang did not stop because of this. Now, making new and greater contributions to promoting the transformation and upgrading of Gansu Province’s steel industry has become Pan Jixiang’s new goal.
