Today I will tell a story about a village in the city. The son is 41 years old and finally has a daughter, but the child has no mother.
70-year-old Mrs. Wu is not anxious at all. She and her husband have worked hard to raise their only son. He is very confident that he will be admitted to a popular major in a prestigious school during the college entrance examination. Countless people came to congratulate him during the three days of wine.
It feels good to be flattered and promising. My son successfully found a job after graduation. However, he resigned after a disagreement with his boss, took the postgraduate entrance examination, worked again, had a bad relationship with his colleagues, and repeatedly changed jobs. People around him no longer praised him, but reminded Mrs. Wu that since the possibility of her son achieving success at work was very small, she should start a family as soon as possible.
It’s not that Mrs. Wu doesn’t want her son to get married. In the early years, his son brought back three female classmates. They all liked him, but his son was hesitant and wanted them to play with him for a few more years. It was a pleasure to watch them fight for dominance. Mrs. Wu was very satisfied with her son being so popular. She believed that there would be no problem in choosing one of them based on her son's charm.
Although these girls admired him, they did not go so far as to not marry because of him. They left one after another after meeting a fate that could be entrusted to them for a lifetime and blossoming. He was left with no education, no wedding room, no betrothal gifts, no formal love, and he has been single.
Once a girl accepted his pursuit and proposed to buy a house of more than 200 square meters in a prime location. He asked relatives and friends to collect the down payment. However, because he was arrogant and neglected to take care of interpersonal relationships, he borrowed a large amount of money and would not be able to pay it off in the next 20 years. No one was willing to help him. When the girl's request didn't get a response, he didn't bother to use emotion to make up for it, so they broke up.
When his son was 39 years old, he finally met a woman who liked him and didn't care about anything. Unfortunately, she had been divorced and had children, had low education, poor family conditions, no stable job, and average appearance. Mrs. Wu didn't like her no matter what. She was humiliated when they met, and she would chase and scold her on the phone even if they didn't meet.
Not long after, Mrs. Wu’s 50-square-meter old house was demolished. With a sum of demolition money, she could buy a new house for her son. With the new house as capital, Mrs. Wu didn’t take her son’s girlfriend seriously. She didn’t treat her well when she was pregnant. When she gave birth to a child, she forced her to leave.
70 years old and with her granddaughter, she overestimated the physical strength of herself and her husband. They both had underlying diseases and her son was at work, so they had to hire a nanny. Several nannies could not stand her temper, and she quit her job after only a few days of work. She had to turn to relatives for help and the matter became known.
Relatives advised: "Please ask the child's mother to come back. Even if she is no longer useful in your eyes, at least she can take care of the child. You don't have to suffer like this."
Mrs. Wu doesn't like to bow to others. Since she has driven away her son's girlfriend, she will never ask her to come back. Her son inherited her strength and was unwilling to look for it. The infant granddaughter cried during the day and at night, and Mrs. Wu's relatives took turns to help, which made everyone very tired.
"Only someone I can respect can be my daughter-in-law." Mrs. Wu's words made her son become a bachelor. Fortunately, my son's job is relatively stable now, otherwise I don't know where to raise the money for my granddaughter's milk powder.
When someone asks, after a hundred years, Mrs. Wu and her husband have passed away, what will happen to their son? Mrs. Wu was not worried at all. She said that her son would be taken care of by her granddaughter from now on, and that a worthless daughter-in-law would be unnecessary.
With such a strange family, the relatives looked at each other and didn't know how to persuade them. During the holidays, other people’s homes are bustling and the whole family is reunited, but theirs is deserted.
God favored this family and gave them the chance to continue their bloodline. I wonder how the woman who helped give birth to the child felt at the moment. Is it a blessing or a loss for her to withdraw from such a family early and lose the opportunity to accompany her child?
