Recently, Chen Xingbang, a 2020 master's student at the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), won the 2021 "China University Student Self-improvement Star " scholarship. This scholarship recommendation event is guided by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and All-China Federation of Students, and is jointly organized by China Youth Daily, New Oriental Education Technology Group , and the China Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Foundation. The theme is "please rest assured the party, a strong country will have us". Chen Xingbang, male, a member of the Communist Party of China, a 2020 master's student majoring in safety engineering at the School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering, and secretary of the third party branch of master . Determined to read, and innovative. In September 2020, Chen Xingbang was admitted to our school's graduate school with the second overall score in his major. After enrolling, he studied professional knowledge assiduously and actively participated in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. "Establishing true character and working hard" is his lofty pursuit and inexhaustible motivation on the road to scientific research and innovation.
The hard work pays off, and Chenxingbang’s overall professional performance has always remained in the top 3. It has won the National Scholarship for Postgraduates in 2022, and has won the first-class academic scholarship and the title of "Excellent Graduate Student" for 2 consecutive times. It has published 8 papers, published 6 translated books, and is currently submitting 3 SCI papers and 4 Chinese Excellence/Core papers. Responsible for and participated in a number of enterprise horizontal projects, publishing house book compilation projects, etc. He has won 1 first prize of China Occupational Safety and Health Association-provincial and ministerial level science and technology award, and 32 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievement appraisals.

From May to December 2021, he overcame the difficulties of the current epidemic and led members of the party branch to go deep into Beijing communities to carry out the red "1+1" party building activities of "building a smart emergency system and empowering the construction of resilient communities"; In January 2022, the co-construction activity that Chen Xingbang was responsible for was shortlisted among the top 25 in Beijing and won the second prize in the red "1+1" demonstration activity of Beijing universities. From August to December 2021, Chenxingbang actively responded to the "Double Hundred Action Plan" for the construction of the "Four Centers" function of Beijing university teachers and students serving the capital, and took the lead in forming the "China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) Community Safety Update Research Practice Team" to improve Beijing community safety from the perspective of "resilient city" With the theme of "Investigation and Research on New Planning and Improvement Countermeasures", we conducted more than 10 concentrated seminars, 13 field surveys, participated in 6 academic research forums, collected more than 300 valid questionnaires, and conducted on-site inspections of 12 typical communities in Beijing. We proposed Beijing community safety renewal strategies from the perspective of resilient cities, provided relevant policy suggestions and professional theoretical support for Beijing urban community renewal, and truly served the people professionally and protected the people with the original intention. In August 2022, the project was rated as an outstanding project in Beijing's 2021 "Double Hundred Action Plan".
From July to October 2021, he led members of the practice project team to travel to Shanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Chongqing and other provinces and cities many times.
