This semester, our school’s teaching and research will focus on the theme of “stent-based teaching” and carry out in-depth research. Before specific implementation, all teachers need to have an in-depth understanding of what scaffolding teaching is? How to closely integrate it with your own teaching, etc. On the afternoon of November 6, teachers from Mufu Villa Primary School in Nanjing gathered in the clouds and started a special study on stent-based teaching.

During the summer vacation, a reading group composed of Teacher Wu Yuxuan read the book "Stent Teaching" by Professor Thompson. So the first thing I can share with us about the topic of scaffolding teaching is Mr. Wu Yuxuan.

Teacher Wu first introduced to us that this book mainly focuses on the following aspects: several basic teaching principles for building teaching scaffolding; four general conditions for building teaching scaffolding activities: teaching focus, flexible teaching, teaching feedback and learning responsibilities; five steps to cultivate students' independent learning ability: demonstration, sharing, assistance, maintenance and investigation, providing procedural steps and teaching skills for teachers to build teaching scaffolding. Finally, Teacher Wu put forward some of his own thoughts based on his own teaching. In scaffolding teaching, our teaching focus should be clear so that the responsibility transfer plan that points to the teaching focus will appear in your teaching design. Teacher Wu’s sharing gave the teachers a preliminary understanding of scaffolding teaching.

However, if you have good ideas, you have to put them into practice. Under the guidance of the teaching department and the teaching department, our school has also made some explorations in scaffolding teaching. So Director Wang Jiajing gave a detailed introduction to the characteristics of stent-based teaching in our school, and also made specific requirements for how all teachers can reflect stent-based teaching in future teaching.

"Stent-based teaching" is a relatively mature teaching model developed based on the basic idea of constructivism . The key to designing this strategy is to decompose complex learning tasks and establish problem scaffolds. It requires that this scaffold should be designed according to the students' "proximal development zone" to gradually deepen the learners' cognitive content and level, so as to continuously improve students from one cognitive level to another higher cognitive level. Therefore, this teaching method requires teachers to explore and adjust based on the learning situation, and is a dynamic development process. According to the " Proximal Development Zone " theory, the problem brackets designed in the classroom should be close to the reality of students' lives and the foundation of students' knowledge and ability, and should take into account the development process of knowledge and technology itself and the students' cognitive ability and level of knowledge.

last Dai Chunxia Principal gave us professional guidance. Dai School introduced stent teaching to us comprehensively and professionally from six aspects: connotation, value, type, application, process, and suggestions of stent teaching.

Teaching scaffolding is a metaphorical concept in the field of education. It is a supportive means in the process of developing students' independent learning ability. Teaching scaffolding includes thinking brackets, action brackets and evaluation brackets. These brackets actually exist in our teachers' classroom teaching every day. How to build a suitable teaching scaffolding in their own teaching? We need to build teaching scaffolding that helps cultivate students' independent learning ability in the intermediate stage of students' original level and potential development level - the proximal development zone.

When talking about the types of teaching scaffolding, Dai School also gave us a very practical introduction based on various disciplines, so that teachers could understand it immediately that this is teaching scaffolding. It turns out that we can build teaching scaffolding in this way. Dai School’s comprehensive and professional introduction has given us a deeper and more practical understanding of stent-based teaching. During the

event, Dai School also invited teachers such as Chang Qianqian, Wu Zhenhuan, Zhou Wenxin, Ling Qiao to share their own simple sharing on the event.Based on the teaching of his English subject, Teacher Chang Qianqian found that after learning a type of knowledge, students were asked to draw mind map . This learning method allowed students to learn knowledge and cultivate interest in learning, which was really good.

Teacher Wu Zhenhuan expressed that he knew how to overcome similar problems in his future teaching in his future teaching in response to the application of teaching scaffolding taught by Dai School in Chinese, combined with his recent confusions.

Teacher Zhou Wenxin teaches science subjects, so he often uses visual type scaffolding in his teaching, especially in the teaching of lower grades, which promotes his teaching well.

Teacher Ling Qiao expressed in response to the recent problems in learning among students in her class that after listening to today's lecture, she felt that she had benefited a lot and was determined to seriously think about how to build teaching scaffolding in future teaching so that teaching can be easy and effective.

After experiencing this activity, what is scaffolding teaching? How to closely unite it with your own teaching? I believe that teachers have their own answers. In future teaching, let us continue to conduct in-depth research in practice, let scaffolding teaching bear fruit in the small wall, and achieve the growth of teaching and research.
