In order to enhance students' interest in reading, the Chinese teaching and research group of the junior high school of Beijing Medical College Affiliated High School relies on the Huayuan Road School District to carry out a special learning activity on "whole book reading". The event invited Tsinghua University Affiliated High School Chinese teacher and part-time teaching and research staff teacher Zhang Biao and all the first-year students of our school gathered in the cloud, and had in-depth exchanges on the topic of "How should we read when we enter junior high school". The event was co-hosted by our school's teacher Zhao Rong and Mr. Guan Jinying from the Huayuan Road School District.
Teacher Zhang Biao took the "funnyness of reading classics" as a guide and took the whole book reading of "Journey to the West" as an example to show the students' textbook performance videos, and the students were deeply attracted by the performances of their peers. After
, Teacher Zhang explained the reading method of the documentary work "Red Stars Shining in China", which is generally considered difficult for students to read, laying the foundation for subsequent learning.
After the meeting, Teacher Zhang and the teachers held a discussion and pointed out that the activity design of the whole book does not have to be confined to individual reading, but can point to group reading, so that children can read happily together. Daily design should pay attention to "elastic reading, diverse activities, and clear goals", so that students can fully experience the joy of reading and fall in love with reading.
