Mastering emergency rescue knowledge and skills is the requirement of quality education in the new era and is also a powerful measure to deal with accidents. The District Red Cross Society, the District Education Bureau, and the District Youth League Committee recently jointly formulated the "Songjiang District Emergency Rescue Training Campus Action Plan from 2022 to 2024", striving to gradually establish and improve the campus rescue network by the end of 2024 and build a campus emergency rescue volunteer service team.

Last week, the first batch of students participating in the Songjiang District campus emergency rescue training this year learned the rescue knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway foreign body obstruction, fractures and other conditions through offline practical courses. Jiuting Primary School teacher Cui Baoyue believes that the biggest gain is to learn how to fix the upper arm and hang it, stop bleeding and bandage it. Sijing Primary School teacher Shen Weiwei said that it is necessary for physical education teachers to master one more skill in case of emergencies.

It is understood that in order to build a high-quality school health and health system, the action plan requires that the popularization of Red Cross emergency rescue knowledge and skills training be carried out among young people in primary and secondary schools across the region, so that students of different ages can master different degrees of self-rescue and mutual rescue and escape skills; among primary and secondary school teachers and staff, effective measures will be taken to increase the intensity of rescue training, and by the end of 2024, 1,000 ambulance training for primary and secondary school teachers and staff will be completed; gradually establish and improve the Red Cross first aid teacher network in the school, and schools at all levels will establish school-level ambulance teams on the basis of completing ambulance training, and team members must have ambulance or ambulance teacher certificates. At the same time, a youth volunteer service team was formed to participate in campus emergency rescue volunteer service activities.

According to the relevant content of the action plan, this year, the district will take the lead in conducting emergency rescue training for more than 300 faculty and staff in four batches. In the future, students in the district will complete 4-course popularization training in the fifth grade of primary school, 8-course popularization training in the second grade of junior high school, and consolidate the relevant content of popularization training in the first year of high school. It is required that by the end of 2024, 50% of high schools in the district will reach the level of senior high school graduates completing 16-course ambulance training. School doctors, physical education teachers, class teachers, etc. who have obtained ambulance certificates will be trained to provide students with popularized disaster prevention and risk avoidance knowledge.

In addition, in combination with the actual situation of campus scale, environment, terrain, transportation, construction, etc., appropriate first aid materials will be equipped on campus. Schools with conditions are encouraged to build campus life and health experience classrooms, and gradually equipped with first aid kit , AED (automatic external defibrillator), emergency aid all-in-one machine and other first aid equipment.
