This project is led by our school's School of Life Sciences , the State Key Laboratory of Biocatalytic and Enzyme Engineering jointly established by the province and the Ministry of Education Professor Yang Shihui , and was jointly participated by Hubei University, Dalian University of Technology , Tianjin University of Science and Technology , Zhejiang University of Technology , Jiangnan University , Beijing University of Technology , Beijing University of Technology , Beijing University of Technology , Beijing University of Technology , 26 units participated, with a project fund of 18 million yuan. The
project aims at bottleneck problems such as few genetic tools, poor stability, and difficulty in real-time detection in situ. Professor Yang Shihui's team has been engaged in research in the fields of microbial metabolism engineering, systems and synthetic biology and green biomanufacturing. Taking Z. motile as the research object, a biological component mining and quantitative identification system based on omics data and an efficient genome editing system integrating internal and exogenous CRISPR-Cas systems were established; cellulose ethanol, isobutanol and PHB high-yield recombinant strains were constructed, and ethanol continuous fermentation and PHB cogeneration were achieved.
At the same time, it has cooperated with many companies including listed companies for a long time to transform industrial strains with many excellent characteristics using systems and synthetic biology technology, and promote the industrialization of bulk alkyd products with a trillion-dollar market using anaerobic fermentation of non-grain raw materials such as straw, and help achieve the goal of bioeconomic and "dual carbon" to achieve.
