When I was teaching the text "Sparrow" this morning, a small episode in the classroom caught my attention.
This text tells the story of an old sparrow protecting the little sparrow in front of hunting dog and protecting it from harm.
When I felt the characters in the novel, after I took the children to analyze the pitiful image of the little sparrow, I will continue to appreciate the characters of the old sparrow. I asked the question at the right time, "Where is the little sparrow's mother? Where has its mother gone?" "Its mother is dead, haha!" Xiao Zhou, in the third row, blurted out loudly. When the classmates heard his words, they burst into laughter. He heard the laughter of his classmates, his face filled with pride, looking around as if provocatively.
I was stunned and stared at him. When I met my gaze, his eyes dodged slightly and shrank for a moment. I think my expression at this moment should be like the hunting dog in the text-------- extremely ferocious. What I imagined was that based on their understanding of the text, they would say that the old sparrow flew down from the tree to cover the little sparrow, and their performance was indeed beyond my expectations.
It is obvious that this accident interrupted my normal teaching ideas. I stared at him, a hint of displeasure flashed in my heart, and there was also anger at him who openly disrupted classroom discipline. His anger was about to turn into preaching language. I wanted to yell at him: "Is the class where you sing? Some students don't want to sensation all day long and say some useless words in class..." But I thought about it, maybe after my anger and preaching at this time, he might have lost the desire to express himself, lost interest in the subject of Chinese, and even lost confidence in himself...
So, I turned my eyes to the classmate next to him and asked, "Do you think the old sparrow has passed away?" Xiao Zhang came to his senses from the situation just now and shook his head shyly. I looked over Xiao Zhou again, looked behind him, and asked, "What do you think?" "It has not passed away!" Xiao Fu, a classmate behind him, said, "The old sparrow flew in front of the little sparrow." "How do you know?" I asked. "There are illustrations in the text. The old sparrow is blocking the little sparrow in the illustration!" he continued. I couldn't help but praise his attentiveness.
When I turned my gaze to Xiao Zhou again, he dodged, lowered his head, slowly picked up the book and stood up, covered his face with the book, and whispered: "The old sparrow flew in front of the little sparrow, and the article mentioned it in the third paragraph." "Very good, it means that you previewed the text in advance and understood the content of the text."
This is just a small episode in the classroom. Perhaps compared with many experienced teachers, my handling method is a little immature and cannot be considered a witty in the classroom. Let's not talk about this handling method for now.
What I want to talk about is the child’s approach, because what comes to my mind at the first time was the child’s upbringing problem, he was deliberately disrupting classroom discipline, he was deliberately sang against me, and he was challenging my authority. I even want to make his evil deeds and my anger public, and I want to turn this Chinese class into Taoism or class meetings so that everyone can denounce his evil deeds.
But after class I thought, he was just a ten-year-old child! How could there be so many concepts in his mind? Children’s nature is to love to play, but we hope that they can sit in the classroom all day long to study. This is a natural killing for them. So what’s wrong with their occasional release of their nature? Maybe, they just found some attention from it. Why can't this win our tolerance? Why do we raise one of his simple behaviors to such a high moral level?
See true feelings in the subtle places, and listen to thunder in the silent places. We are with students every day. When we get along with them, we may walk into them, bend down, and look parallel to them, listen, and find that if we are more patient and tolerant of them, we will hear different voices.
