Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment Propaganda and Education Center announced the list of shortlists for the national small-scale funding projects of "Clean and Beautiful China Tour" in 2022. The participation plan of the Wuhan Textile University Green Environmental Protection Association "Yangtze River "Brand" Purifier - Science Popularization and Education Activities" stands out from 134 project plans of 82 universities across the country, and successfully shortlisted for 20 funding projects, making it the only selected team in Hubei Province.
This competition was attended by 8 students from Wuhan Textile University Environmental Science 12001 Zhang Jun, Zou Tiancheng, Class 12001 Environmental Excellence Class 12001 Ji Zhongyi, Class 12101 Huanzhuo Class 12101 Li Ziyun, Class 12103 Huangong Class 12101 Feng Fan, Class 12101 Huangong Class 12103 Wen Mengyuan, Class 12101 CMA Class 12101 Zhao Yang, and Class 12101 Intelligent Finance 12101 Feng Yawen and other students represented the Green Environmental Protection Association.
8 students were successfully shortlisted for the competition after the theme design and plan production. The project leader Zhang Jun said that in addition to carrying out regular thematic education and practice activities, we will also design a "environmental protection brand" with the theme of "water conservation and water protection" in combination with the school's design characteristics, integrate environmental protection elements into the board game, and promote environmental protection concepts and knowledge in ways that young students like, so that the concepts of water conservation and water protection and ecological protection will be further deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Shi Yike, the instructor of the
project, said: "By participating in ecological and environmental protection public welfare activities at the national level, it is conducive to young students to better apply professional knowledge to help national ecological civilization construction and local environmental protection, and to demonstrate the responsibilities and responsibilities of young people in the new era in ecological practice." Since its establishment, Wuhan Textile University Green Environmental Protection Association has been unremittingly taking water as the medium and ecological protection as the theme, and has systematically carried out social practice, environmental protection technology innovation, scientific and technological invention and academic research activities. In recent years, the Green Environmental Protection Association has carried out research and practice, environmental protection education and other activities around river and lake protection, and actively practiced the concept of environmental protection. The volunteers have traveled to 11 provinces, 27 cities, and 67 rivers and lakes. They have deeply integrated volunteer services, innovative practices, scientific research and professional knowledge, and have gradually grown into a new student club that integrates majors + public welfare. During the years of development, the Wuhan Textile University Green Environmental Protection Association has achieved many outstanding results. In 2016, the Association's water pollution control innovation team won the "Xiaoping Technology Innovation Team" award, and was listed on the Great Hall of the People to receive the award ; since 2019, the Association has won the "Role Model 100" national best (outstanding) college student club for three consecutive years. In addition, the association has also won the honorary titles of " Three Going to the Countryside " National Advanced Team for College Students' Social Practice, and the association's practical research results have also been selected for the Ministry of Education's Excellent Achievements Exhibition on Social Practice for the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.
