Today is a happy day for the old director Yu Qintang's inscription and plaque plaque. The old director has a kind character and a feeling like water. He has made great contributions to the education cause of Changyuan . The inscription "Merits Carrying Teaching" in the golden plaque is well deserved and deserves it.

The old director is a model of respecting teachers and valuing education. "A country is about to prosper, and one must value his teacher and respect his tutor." He respected the old generation of famous teachers and teachers in the Changyuan education industry. When he was the director of the Education Bureau, education after the Cultural Revolution had just become formal. At that time, "the theory of reading is useless", "teachers are the stinky old masters" and the market. In order to maintain the normal order of the school and the legitimate rights and interests of teachers, he cooperated with the government to formulate many rules. He personally inquire or deal with any infringement of the school and teachers, and effectively safeguarded the stability of the school and the dignity of teachers. In order to improve the social status of teachers, he strives to place representatives and deputies in the education sector in the National People's Congress and the CPPCC, so that teachers can participate in politics and make decisions. He vigorously commended the advanced and set a precedent for awarding bonuses to teachers. Under the call of the People's Education Office, Changyuan has launched a wave of mass fundraising and running schools. He seized this opportunity and vigorously promoted respecting teachers and valuing education, and praised merits for the meritorious individuals and collectives who donated money to support education. When he was the chairman of the CPPCC, he was also concerned about education and often organized tea parties for educators and teachers to talk about the prospects of the development of Changyuan education, and encouraged everyone to continue to provide suggestions and work hard for the development of Changyuan education. After he retired, it was the time when private schools were emerging. He was unwilling to be idle at home and actively participated in it. But he opposed running so-called aristocratic schools. He said that since ancient times, running schools has been a public welfare undertaking and cannot be used to make money. The Yucai High School he founded insists on low fees and is called a civilian school by the masses. He was the principal for six years and did not receive his salary for two years. He said that the funding was tight, so the teacher would first receive the salary, and the principal would stop first. Not only that, he also donated more than 1,200 books to the school.

The old director is an expert in education. In 1977, resumed the college entrance examination , which was the beginning of the revival of education. He immediately called on all high schools to organize students to review and actively welcome the world's first exam. Because of his effective measures to take the college entrance examination, Changyuan's college entrance examination results have been among the best in the region for many years. This not only brought a large number of talents to the country, but also injected vitality into Changyuan's education. With the continuous development of education, he felt increasingly tight in education funds. He boldly decided to concentrate funds to give priority to running key middle schools. He believed that only in this way can a new situation in Changyuan Education be opened. A key high school and 15 key junior high schools were established, and Changyuan's education had a new look and was quickly recognized by the Provincial Department of Education. On September 4, 1980, the People's Daily also published an article saying: The Education Bureau of Changyuan County, Henan Province saved all unnecessary expenses and concentrated funds to run key middle schools first, achieving significant results. At that time, the old director's spirit of daring to be the first was a kind of foresight. The old director never lies in the work, but often leads staff to the grassroots level and transfers to each high school almost every semester. Sometimes when you go to school, you don’t listen to the report first, but go to the classroom to listen to the class and then have a discussion with the teacher. He always kindly encourages teachers to "be a teacher admired by students and cultivate a generation of students they admire."

He also encouraged everyone to work hard to carry out teaching reforms, transforming attention to textbooks to paying attention to reality, and transforming possession of knowledge into possession of wisdom. He found that any teacher was innovative in his lectures, so he immediately organized an observation. Speaking of classroom teaching reform, he said: "Class teaching allows for diversification, and according to the characteristics of teachers themselves, there can be different styles. But the principle of students as the main body and teachers as the main body cannot be changed."In the 1992 years after he retreated to the second line, with his proficiency and persistence in education, and with the support of the Education Bureau, he successfully organized a college entrance examination cram school attended by more than 300 candidates in the county, accumulating experience for the concentrated review of the college entrance examination.

The old director is a friend of the teacher. The old director is approachable and likes to communicate with teachers at work. He also likes to tell him what he has. He regards Sunday as a teacher reception day, and he says that the teacher does not have time to attend classes on Sunday. Because he is in charge of high school education, every high school teacher is his guest. At that time, he can almost call out names and knows the teaching situation. Some teachers teach in junior high school, so they transfer him to high school, and some have the potential to play in that school, so they transfer him to county No. 1 Middle School. As a result, these teachers have the ability to be the ultimate and become the backbone of teaching. Some teachers have leadership skills and have been entrusted with important tasks.
