Kazakhstan Shanti, a student in China, lived in Beijing with his parents who studied in China as a child for more than 8 years. After returning to his hometown in 2014, he often recalled the beautiful memories left by Beijing, the "second hometown".

In recent years, with the deepening of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Shanti discovered that China not only provides Kazakhstan with agricultural technology and experience, but also contributes to Kazakhstan's infrastructure construction. At the same time, China's cultural appeal is getting stronger and stronger, and many young people have begun to learn Chinese. Shanti's mother is an employee of a foreign trade company and travels between Kazakhstan and Shanghai, China all year round, while Shanti has been learning Chinese at the Confucius Institute in Kazakhstan.

In 2022, he received an admission notice from Tsinghua University . Shanti, who has been interested in biology since childhood, chose School of Life Sciences . "China has professional talents and top companies from all over the world. I hope to work here for a few years after graduation, and then return to Kazakhstan to combine the knowledge I have learned with the actual needs of my hometown."
