On the afternoon of September 29, the conference room on the third floor of Bingxi Middle School in Yushan County was full. Nearly 300 students in the eighth grade were waiting for a special "teacher" with excitement - Yao Tulin, director of Bingxi Street Police Station in Yushan County, brought everyone a special lecture on the rule of law with the theme of "Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency". The rule of law class was hosted by Xu Wensheng, principal of Bingxi Middle School, and the school’s comprehensive management office, the head of the Moral Education Department, and the second grade class teacher listened to the lecture together.
Director Yao first reported on the illegal and criminal cases of students who were dealt with this year's alarm. The heavy numbers make people alert.
What is an illegal crime? What kind of punishment should illegal criminals be punished? Director Yao specifically listed the specific manifestations of seven major illegal crimes, including carrying controlled knives, fighting, fraud, theft, extortion, and drug use, and specifically explained the relevant punishment standards in combination with the " Criminal Law ".
How to establish the concept of the rule of law and be a young man who abides by the law and discipline? Director Yao patiently guided all students from eight aspects: strengthen their own cultivation; be careful to make friends and make good friends; do not do not do good because of small good, and do not do evil because of small evil; treat teachers and parents correctly; set great ambitions and achieve great things; learn to mobilize emotions; prevent drowning accidents; pay attention to traffic safety.
Then Director Yao reviewed his personal experience affectionately, from junior high school life, high school life, and university life. He said to all students earnestly: "Study can change destiny. We must be honest and do things with our hearts. Life is not smooth sailing. We must set lofty ambitions and goals. We must have a certain height in dealing with people, have a longer-term vision, and have a firm will. We must learn to be grateful and have a sense of family and country---------" He also quoted the vivid examples of Tang Monk's determination to learn from the scriptures in "Journey to the West" and the great Mao Zedong's determination to serve the country. The lectures are rich in content and easy to understand, and there is no lack of liveliness in seriousness, which shocked the hearts of all teachers and students and greatly inspired the spirit.
Bingxi Middle School principal Xu Wensheng summarized the lecture content and emphasized three "important": ① Learning the law is very important. You must learn the law, know the law, and abide by the law. Ignorance will often harm your life; ② The goal is very important, the goal is the direction of progress, and a life without the right direction is a failed life; ③ Learning is very important, and learning makes people progress, and learning changes destiny.
The eighth-grade leader Yang Biao made three requirements with the students present: ① Learn to protect yourself and be a teenager who understands and abides by the law; ② Learn to be grateful and be a student who respects teachers; ③ Set goals and be a young student who respects self-esteem, self-love, self-reliance and self-improvement.
This rule of law classroom is a beneficial practice for Bingxi Middle School to deepen the cooperation between police schools and build a safe campus. It enriches the content of the rule of law education activity month, popularizes legal knowledge, and implements the rule of law education for preventing young people, laying a solid foundation for building a harmonious and safe campus.
