According to Buddhist scriptures, Sakyamuni Buddha was named Siddhartha before he became enlightened. In order to seek the true meaning of life and liberation from life and death, he resolutely gave up his throne and became a monk to practice Taoism. He once went to the ascetic forest in Uluopinluo Village south of Gaya City to practice asceticism.
After six years of hard training, he ate one hemp and one meter a day, and even one hemp and rice in seven days, so that "his body became as thin as a dead tree." Prince Siddhartha realized that such asceticism was not the right path to liberation and decided to give up asceticism. At this time, a shepherdess saw that he was very weak, so she offered milk as an offering. After Prince Siddhartha ate it, his physical strength recovered somewhat. He came to the shore under a Bibolo tree, sat quietly and meditated, and swore an oath: "If I don't realize the supreme Bodhi path now, I would rather break my body than sit down."

Just in the early morning of the eighth day of the lunar month, when the stars were first rising, Siddhartha finally had a sudden enlightenment. He understood the true meaning of the cause of pain in life and the method of eliminating pain, and gained a thorough understanding of the reality of the universe and life. This is what we usually call "becoming a Buddha" or "enlightenment."
This day symbolizes the birth of Buddhism. It is the origin and beginning of Buddhism. It is because of the Buddha’s enlightenment that Buddhism existed. From this day on, all confused sentient beings will know that through self-improvement, self-improvement, and self-transformation, they can achieve the goal of perfect personality and ultimate Buddhahood. For every Buddhist disciple, it is a day worth remembering.
I wish to refrain from doing evil and practice good deeds!
