He said: "Those who are great should not be deceived by others, be the master of their own, and be true everywhere. But those who come will not be able to accept it." No matter how wonderful the external environment is, it is empty and illusory. Don't be confused by it. Only your inner pure mind is real. From this self-confidence spirit, Yixuan developed a Zen style of scolding Buddha and scolding ancestors, and his speech was very intense, which was also to highlight the real and specific people's subjective status. Yixuan scolded Wuwei as " Dry Shit ", and called those who obtained the equal enlightenment and the wonderful realm of enlightenment "wounds carrying shackles", called Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas "toilets", and regarded Bodhi Nirvana as "coulds".
