Master, is there any cause and effect in the world?
There is indeed a causal relationship in the world, but there may not be a kind of good cause and good results, because everyone's destiny trajectory is different, so even if there are evil causes, there may not be any retribution for evil results.
Master, since this is the case, then shouldn’t the cause and effect have anything to do with it?
If there is a causal relationship between all things, there is a causal relationship with factual inference, which is called "Tao". Because the "Tao" in the Tao Te Ching is the natural law between all things, this causal relationship will produce the "necessity" result of logical inference due to the "causality". The so-called "sowness" of planting melons, which means there is a "fruit" of planting melons, so there is a "fruit" of factual inference, because the laws of nature do not require the intersection of "contingency" to directly achieve the "necessity" fruit. This is the "reason" under the laws of all things.
If it is between human nature, the causal relationship of unknown change is called "Yi", because the "Yi" in Yijing is the constant change between people and things, so this causal relationship will produce "necessity" that cannot be logically inferred due to the "causality". The so-called "planting melons" may not necessarily lead to melons. That is because there is no accidental intersection in the trajectory of life, and it is constantly changing, so you cannot see the fruit of "necessity". So you will think that you are doing evil but you cannot see the consequences. Therefore, even if there is a cause of doing evil, it cannot produce the evil consequences that should be obtained by logical inferences. Therefore, the changes between human nature require the intersection of accidentality to create the result of inevitableness. This is the "quality" under the changes in human nature.
Master, how should we judge in the essence of our human nature that there is a cause and a result?
Before doing everything, you must first think about what possible situations may occur, and consider the main cause of the future, because any consequence must first be formed by its "cause nature". If you ignore the existence of this "cause nature", when the "cause nature" is intertwined, when the "accidentality" is connected, when you look back and think about it, you will find that this "cause nature" is the result of your "inevitability" at this time.
Master, how can we get the cause and effect reward?
People often lament their past misfortunes, and blame the injustice of God and the injustice of society. Little do you know that the "results" you can get already have the "causes" you planted before. If you can consider this "result" in advance and treat it with caution, you will not regret the consequences of retribution. Therefore, when we deal with people and things, we cannot only look at the "effect" of their surface retribution, but not the "cause" that arises in their hearts. This is the principle of retribution between cause and effect in Buddhism, but there is Taoist that believes that "fortune and good fortune are the basis" and there is not necessarily retribution.
Master, how can we avoid the relationship between cause and effect?
If you do things carelessly and ignore the reasons for the occurrence, you will easily be blinded by external illusions. Smart people will often calm down and analyze the essence of human nature and the external situation, and never make any decisions hastily. In this way, they will calmly deal with everything happening, and then use the wisdom of thinking to understand the cause of the occurrence of the event, and there will be no regrets that will result. Therefore, we must study Buddhism and uphold our own state of being pure and self-righteous, and then, like Confucian , with a kind heart and righteous heart, and use the principles of Legalism to abide by our own behavioral norms, so that we can practice and be meditate in the community of nature like Taoism.
Master, I understand, I will follow my teachings.
