Ming Ruqi, Zonglong and other annotations of the "Heart Sutra", "Vajra" The three sutras, "The Sutra" and "The Lankavatara Sutra" were promulgated to the world and contained imperial prefaces by Emperor Taizu. Are they also written into the Tibetan Tibet? By imperial edict - written. In other words - Emperor Yongle, in addition to everything he wrote must go to Tibet, everything written by his father will also go to Tibet. But for other emperors, you have to ask.

On December 18, Monk Huijin and others memorialized - there are three pieces of Zen, "Lianzhu Ode to the Ancient", "Ancient Zunsu Yuan", "Continued Lamp Record"; one lecture, " Buddha "Tongji ", should it be included in Tibet? These three pieces of Zen Buddhism - "Lianzhu Ode to Ancient", "Gu Zunsu Yu" and "Continued Lamp Record" are what we often call " lamp record " and "quotation". Talking about sects refers to history. That is... Buddhist teaching refers to the history of Buddhism. "Teaching One Piece of Sect" refers to an item in the history of Buddhism, a book called "Buddha's Tongji". Are these four children's books included in the collection? The next day, the order was sent - not to enter Tibet.


Regarding this point, when we later looked at this section of the imperial edict, we didn’t understand why... that is, many Buddhist history books, even those that preached the sect, were not allowed to enter Tibet by Emperor Yongle. Emperor Yongle He is very good at tampering with history! Because we know - he came to power during the "Jingnan War", right? He wiped away all traces of Jianwen Emperor , so he cared very much about historical records. Regarding the history of Buddhism, especially the reason why this batch of "Zen history" is not allowed to enter Tibet... we don't know what he thinks.


Emperor Yongle, regarding the Zen classics... they are the "Quotations", "Lamp Records", and "History" of Zen Buddhism in the past dynasties... Should they be put into collections? Which ones can be hidden? Which ones cannot be brought into Tibet? He caught it very finely! He wants to read every book! This is the same as the later Qing Dynasty revision of " Longzang " Emperor Yongzheng ... That is, Emperor Yongzheng also - for Zen Buddhism, which ones can enter? What is not allowed? He had clear instructions.


You may not understand - why do other things go into Tibet just as soon as they are put into Tibet, but when Zen classics are put into Tibet, they are carefully scrutinized? This is related to the philosophical concept of Zen! In Zen thought , there is liberalism and individual liberation, but liberalism and individual liberation conflict with our traditional Chinese ethics! Zen's attitude towards the world is one of indifference, and its attitude towards oneself is liberalism. Once this kind of indifference and liberalism takes shape, it will have a huge impact on the ruling class. This is a question of ideology ! The Chinese government...the ancient government is not good at anything else, but it has been very good at grasping ideology since ancient times.


The Tripitaka is now - the collation has been completed; the rewriting has been completed; the classics to be included in the Tibetan collection have been selected...all selected! That is... all the previous... paper work in this program has been done, and then only physical work is left, and only rigidity is left! In other words - all the preparatory work for the Tripitaka has been completed, and only the engineering and physical work is left - directly carving the wood! Your Majesty, just take a rest and stop asking! Right...what else is there to ask about manual work? No! We have to ask this too, and we’ll ask in more detail! Why ask more details? Right! There is also an ideological issue before, and there is also a question of... whether the writing looks good or not. The only thing left is the carving of this word on the wooden board. Why do you ask more detailed questions?


Because carving wooden boards means...carving Tripitaka boards was not done elsewhere, it was done in the palace, right in front of the emperor's eyes. It’s just... who does the work? If you have this kind of leader... you will be unlucky! It's just... this kind of leader, he is very careful. He doesn't trust anyone, and he has opinions about everyone. If you happen to be working in front of him at this time, right... the results can be imagined. . "Yongle Beizang", its specific engraving and printing took place in the imperial palace. It was carved and made by the ceremonial supervisor of the Inner Palace of the Ming Dynasty, so "Yongle Beitang" is also called the Inner Palace Seal.


On July 18, the 18th year of Yongle, the emperor asked Yiru and others - when will the scriptures be written? Zuoyun - It depends on the number of craftsmen. He asked again - can we use 2,500 people for one year? Dare not answer. Asked again - where did it stay after the tablets were carved? Nor dared to answer. According to the imperial edict the next day - An Yi will hide here tomorrow... "here" refers to Beijing... An Yi will hide in Nanjing.

Everyone, please pay attention - the emperor asked three questions! Let me first ask the person in charge, Yi Ru - how long will it take to finish the engraving... When will the survey be completed? Then say - look how many workers there are. Now, let me ask you this - given you 2,500 workers, can you finish the carvings in one year? Can’t finish carving? I dare not reply. Then he asked - where to put it after engraving? I dare not reply.


Where is the Tripitaka... Pay attention, everyone! The imperial edict clearly states where to put the Tripitaka... This word cannot be used with the word "put", it must be used with the word "安"! That is...where is An Yi hiding, where is An Yi hiding... Moreover, the emperor's question and the emperor's imperial edict are both asking and answering themselves! You see, no one dares to answer, right... The emperor asked - can this be done with 2,500 people a year? Dare not answer. Asked again - where was the sutra tablet left? Nor dared to answer.


Why don’t you dare to answer? Because everyone knows this emperor - when the emperor asked, he had already thought about it himself! The emperor didn’t just ask a random question without any purpose, and then after asking, tell me your opinion. no! The emperor asked you after thinking about the answer! Don't bring trouble to yourself. The best thing that could happen is - don’t dare to answer! Let the emperor have his own say and have the final say...


and according to the imperial decree - a large treasure should also be engraved on the stone, and the big stone should hide it! Later, when the wood was broken, the stone was still there. Look at Emperor Yongle, how meticulous he is. Right! Just... carved wood, one set is placed in Nanjing, the other is placed in Beijing... This does not count! You can carve another one for me on the stone! Then, hide the stone. In the future, when the wood breaks down, we take out the stone...it's still there on the stone.As the emperor, he is not afraid of exhausting himself to death, nor is he afraid of exhausting his subordinates to death!


But what is mentioned in the imperial edict this time - this set of "Yongle Beizang" carved on stone, we don't know where it is! The imperial edict said that it should be engraved... maybe it was not engraved, maybe it was engraved, as he said - "hidden in a big stone"... that is, after it was engraved, it was buried in the ground, but we couldn't find it... In short, we know through the imperial edict ——When we were carving "Yongle Beizang", there was talk of engraving a batch of stone treasures! But I haven't seen it yet.


On the second day of February in the 19th year of Yongle's reign, I went to the Fengtian Gate to ask questions - where is the plan ready to be surveyed? Dare not answer. There is a purpose - just engrave in the temple. That is to say - if I ask you "Where is the best place to be stereotyped?" I don't dare to answer! Say...where did you start carving this board? Right... He said that he went to Qingshou Temple , and it was at Yao Guangxiao 's Qingshou Temple that he went to do the collation! The scale of Qingshou Temple is relatively small... Just, the scale of Shuangta Temple is relatively small. It requires a large space, equivalent to a factory... So I asked you where to engrave... This kind of question doesn't matter. Dare to answer!


Finally, there is a purpose to say - carve it in the temple. This "temple" is not an ordinary temple! This "temple" is the temple of the imperial palace...the inner scripture factory of the imperial palace. He also ordered the Chief of Ceremonies and the Twelfth Chief Secretary to fetch the craftsman - just go to the Twelfth Chief Secretary of the Bureau of Rites and Supervisors to find the craftsman.


The "temple" mentioned in the emperor's imperial decree means that it is not a temple. Its full name should be called - the Sutra Engraving Bureau of the Ming Dynasty's Internal Affairs Bureau. As for the Supervisor of Ceremonies, it is not a unit that engraves scriptures, it is a very, very big unit! For example, we know that Dongchang , West Factory , Beizhen Fusi ... all belong to the Bureau of Ceremony. The power of the Supervisor of Ceremonies is beyond the imagination of ordinary people. During the Ming Dynasty, the power of the Chief of Ceremonies was beyond imagination! The scale of this unit is beyond your imagination - east, west, south, north, and middle, and the eunuch , the Supervisor of Ceremonies, is in charge of everything!


In the inner government of the Ming Dynasty, there were a total of twenty-four yamen, which were divided into , twelve prisons, , four divisions, and eight bureaus. Just... how did you get "divisional level"? Fourth Division, Eighth Bureau, and Twelve Supervisors! Eunuchs, directors, and bureau chiefs are the first level, collectively known as " twenty-four yamen". The Si Lijian has the highest status among the "Twelve Prisons"! It is also the most powerful among the "Twenty-Four Yamen".


The eunuch Bingbi of the Si Li Jian, just... What is the name of this leader of the Si Li Jian? His name is not "翺", his name is "Eunuch Bingbi". It is equivalent to the Ming Dynasty's "Ji Zhiju Ju". The chief eunuch Bingbi, that’s even more incredible! Equivalent to "General Secretary", second only to the emperor!


At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the Director of Ceremonies had no power at all when it was established... It originally designed the Chief of Ceremonies to serve people - what... the Clothing and Hat Bureau, the Needlework Bureau... just to serve the emperor's daily needs. Because, Zhu Yuanzhang once said - This Cao loyal good people are different among hundreds of people, but there are always hundreds of evil people. If it is used as the ears and eyes, it will blind the ears and eyes; if it is used as the confidant, it will be a disease of the confidant. The way to control it is to make it fear the law, but not to make it effective. If you are afraid of the law, you will be arrogant if you have merit. . What's the meaning?


"This Cao", hey! This is a derogatory term for this group of people...

"There are only one or two good people among thousands"... There are not one or two good people among a thousand people!

But "there are always thousands of evil people"... just, they are all bad people!


In other words - there are no good people among the eunuchs! Therefore, Zhu Yuanzhang once had a rule that eunuchs were not allowed to be literate.Why aren't eunuchs allowed to read? Afraid of them peeking into the document! Right... I'm not afraid of them doing anything else! The emperor's table is full of all kinds of documents and memorials from various provinces... He is afraid that he will peek at the documents, so the eunuchs are not allowed to read! In order to implement this regulation for a long time, in the 17th year of Hongwu , that is, in 1384, Zhu Yuanzhang even cast this regulation into an iron plate. Alas! Standing at the gate of the palace, it is clearly written that ministers are not allowed to interfere in political affairs, and any offenders will be executed!


However, less than fifty years later... that is, in the fourth year of Xuande - 1429, Xuanzong did not abide by the ancient precepts! Just... started to make the eunuchs literate. Later, the eunuch Bingbi of the Supervisor of Ceremonies gradually exercised the "power of approving red people" on behalf of the emperor... What? It’s the emperor’s right to write “read” and “agree”... The emperor doesn’t even like to write this word anymore! Or in other words - write a comment... The emperor doesn't like writing anymore! Who wrote it? Written by eunuch Bingbi. Eunuch Bingbi wrote it on behalf of the emperor...it was dictated by the emperor at first, but in the end, the emperor didn't even read it, and eunuch Bingbi directly criticized it! It's... Zhu Pi in the emperor's memorial. In other words - after Xuande, the phenomenon of ghostwriting by eunuchs began to appear with the final right to sign.
