A few days after waking up from the dream, he got the news that Master Hanshan was coming from the east, so he went to greet them in advance. He also became a lay disciple of Hanshan and took the Dharma name Fu Jian. Later, when Hanshan left Zhejiang, he passed by Shimen County. Yan Shengzhi invited Master to his home to make offerings. The people who were with him at that time were Chaosong, Yiyu, Zhihe, Wengu, Dezong, Xuanjin, and so-and-so Yan Shengzhi, a famous celebrity and others, felt a sense of déjà vu when they saw this scene. He suddenly recalled the scene in his dream and realized it clearly. Yan Shengzhi was very excited at the time and immediately told his friend Fu Zheng about it. The two of them thought that Master Hanshan might be the incarnation of Venerable Bintulu, which was incredible.

"The Lankavatara Sutra" says: "Sitting quietly in the mountains and forests, practicing up, down, and down, you can see the flow of delusional thoughts in your mind." This is actually the secret method of doing Kung Fu taught by the Lord.

As the saying goes, to practice Zen, you only need to be empty-minded and put the words "life and death" on your forehead, just like owing someone a thousand dollars, day and night. Three nights and three days, tea and food, walking and living, sitting and lying down, socializing with friends, quiet and making noise, just talking, does the dog still have Buddha nature? There are no clouds in the state, just look inside. When you feel bored, it is like hitting a wall. When you get close, it is like a mouse entering an ox's horns, and you will see that it is broken. I want you to create a long-lasting body and mind, and fight with it. Suddenly, The discovery of the inner beauty shines on the ten directions, and as soon as it is enlightened, it is completely gone!

Everyone says that they should look at the words to avoid doubts. Without knowing it, he had fallen into the net of delusional knowledge and knowledge. If he practiced meditation in this way, wouldn't he blind the eyes of future generations in the world?

Today's young people, when the futon is not stable, they claim to be enlightened and then talk about it, play with the spirit, think of it as a sharp wit, think of a few words that have not been traced, and talk nonsense, which is called praising the ancients. It comes from your own delusions. How many times? I once dreamed that the ancients were here. If it is so easy for people to realize the Tao today, then the ancients would be like sitting on seven futons in Changqing. If Zhaozhou has not used mixed intentions for thirty years like this, then the ancients are the most dull-minded people. It's useless to carry straw sandals with you today. If you add someone who is arrogant, you won't get it, so don't be afraid?

When practicing Zen, it is essential to read Hua Tou and have doubts. The so-called small doubts and small enlightenments, big doubts and great enlightenments. No doubt, no enlightenment. Just make good use of doubts. If the doubts are broken, the Buddha's nostrils will naturally be pierced. .

If you take Buddhism as your enemy and clichés as your own opinions, even if you can read the words and do the work, you must first seek enlightenment with your mind. Therefore, if the futon is not stable, if you do not wake up from a nap, and if you do not dream of being here, you will be arrogant and high-spirited, and you will see good things. Knowledge means explaining mysteries and wonderful things, presenting enlightenment and explanations, and asking for correction of a few unfounded nonsense sentences. If you are destined to meet a wise and good teacher, you will be able to break the stereotypes, which can be said to be a great blessing. If by misfortune, one encounters the practice of blind meditation and makes one seal of the winter melon, one is destined to fall into the evil pit of heretics and fall for hundreds of millions of kalpas without ever being able to get ahead. Isn't that a pitiful person?

Today, people who are busy in the world, do not cultivate the precepts, are confused and have delusional thoughts, rely on their own cleverness, and fight with monks when they see them, and they also think that they have enlightened the way. This person blindly leads everyone to be blind. The old man does not dare to arrogantly talk about it. Now we follow the key points of the Buddha's true skills. Let's discuss it. The wise and wise men will have their own way to correct it.

After the Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, Master Hanshan left Jingshan and went to Yunqi Mountain in Hangzhou. He planned to pay homage to Master Lianchi. Speaking of Master Lianchi, he is the eighth generation founder of the Pure Land Sect. When Hanshan was practicing hermitage in Mount Wutai, Lianchi once traveled to Mount Wutai. The two chatted for more than ten days and formed a profound friendship. Later, Master Lianchi returned to his hometown of Zhejiang and revitalized the Yunqi Temple , leading people to practice and promote the Pure Land. He is a great achiever who has integrated the teachings of Zen and Purity into one body since Yongming Yanshou. He advocates the non-duality of Zen and purity, and the purpose of chanting the Buddha's name includes all dharma.

During this period, based on his understanding of Master Lianchi, he told his disciples some unknown secret practices in Lianchi's life, which were practiced in secret. After hearing this, everyone was moved and shed tears. They asked Hanshan to write an "Inscription on the Pagoda" for Lianchi and a preface to "The Complete Works of Old Man Yunqi".In the "Inscription of the Pagoda", Hanshan spoke highly of Master Lianchi's achievements in all aspects, praising him as "the master of the Dharma". The Yunqi Temple where Master Lianchi lived was a famous Pure Land monastery at that time. During Hanshan's temporary stay here, there was a layman named Wen Zijiang. Han Shan combined the characteristics of lay people and narrated an article "The Essentials of Chanting Buddha", telling people that they must give up love and desire and escape from life and death before they can be reborn in the Pure Land. Chanting Buddha’s name to seek rebirth in the Pure Land is essentially a matter of life and death. Therefore it is said: Chanting the Buddha's name will save life and death. Nowadays, people are willing to recite Buddha's name only because they want to save life and death. Just saying that Buddha can cure life and death, if you don't know the roots of life and death. Where do you want to read? If you have the mind to recite the name of Buddha, you will be able to cut off the roots of birth and death. How is life and death so important? What is the root of life and death? The ancients said: "If the karma is not heavy, Saha will not be born; if love is continuous, the Pure Land will not be born." This means that the root of love is the root of life and death, and all sentient beings suffer the pain of life and death because of the fault of love and desire. It is assumed that this root of love does not exist in this life, nor in one, two, three or four lifetimes. Since birth and death began in the beginningless time, we have been sacrificing our bodies and accepting them in all our lives. All are the flow of love and desire, until today. "

Therefore, I advise those who recite the Buddha's name to first understand that the desire for life and death must be cut off. If you want to cut off the desire for life and death at the root of life and death, then the thought is the time for birth and death. Why wait until the 30th day of the twelfth lunar month? It's too late. It is said that the present is all about life and death, and the present realization of life and death is empty. If you think about it so clearly, you will see blood with a sword. If you don't care about life and death, all Buddhas will fall into lies. Therefore, you will become a monk at home. But knowing the mind of life and death is also the time of birth and death. How can it be more wonderful?
