Cainiao said that this year's Double 11 will be the green logistics activity with the highest social participation, with the participation of the widest range of consumers, merchants, express delivery practitioners and the carbon reduction platform.

Of course, there is still a familiar "Express Packaging Eggs" activity during Double 11 this year. In order to encourage consumers to participate in green logistics recycling projects, Cainiao launched the "express delivery packaging to exchange eggs" campaign for the second consecutive year.

It is reported that from November 1 to November 20, 130,000 Cainiao Station nationwide will be recycled and express packaging. Consumers will leave the express packaging after picking up the parts at the station, and can receive green gifts such as eggs after scanning the code.

What is special is that intelligent technology and green logistics concepts are better integrated. This year, some stations of Cainiao Logistics piloted the use of IoT smart devices, which can automatically identify express packaging, lowering the threshold for consumers to participate in green recycling. Cainiao Logistics expects that the express packaging collected through Cainiao Station during Double 11 will reach 6 million, and they will be used for recycled shipments on site.

Half of the express delivery sent by consumers through Cainiao Station will use old express cartons. For cartons that cannot be used again, they will be beaten into pulp and then formed into homework books, which will be given to primary school students by public welfare institutions.

Not only that, Cainiao Logistics has also connected to the local carbon inclusive platform in Zhejiang and Jiangxi this year to help the whole people reduce carbon. If consumers participate in Cainiao Express packaging recycling, low-carbon delivery, and reuse of old boxes, they can form carbon points on the local carbon inclusive platform and exchange corresponding rights.

From the perspective of merchants, merchants are also more motivated to participate in green logistics during this year's Double 11. At present, thousands of merchants and about 150,000 products have joined Cainiao Logistics' green supply chain.

Cainiao Logistics has jointly launched the "50g Carbon Reduction Alliance" initiative this year with more than ten brands including Yili , Unilever , and jointly explored carbon reduction paths covering the upstream and downstream of the supply chain. According to calculations, merchants entering Cainiao warehouses can reduce carbon by at least 50 grams of carbon by a single package through the packaging algorithm, original box delivery, intelligent warehouse division and other carbon reduction processes.
