Recently, the 2022 BRICS National Vocational Skills Competition Drone Operation Competition Guangdong Division Selection Competition was opened at Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as: Shenzhen Vocational and Technical College ). After fierce competition, Li Peng, a contestant from Shenzhen Vocational College, lived up to expectations and won the first place in the province. The contestants from Shenzhen Information Vocational and Technical College and Guangzhou Civil Aviation Vocational and Technical College ranked second and third respectively. They will have the opportunity to represent Guangdong Province in the national competition held in Xiamen .
This competition is sponsored by the BRICS National Business Council, hosted by Shenzhen Vocational College, and co-organized by Shenzhen DJI Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. and Xi'an Tianyi Intelligent Control Education Technology Co., Ltd. The competition attracted a total of 26 teams from vocational colleges in Guangdong Province to participate, including many holders of the Civil Aviation Administration's UAV license. Many drone teachers and students who love drones gathered together to compete on the same stage.
After the online theoretical knowledge selection competition, a total of 8 teams entered the finals. The final event is divided into two modules: Module A includes submodules such as drone assembly and debugging, drone maintenance and damage determination, and drone power selection, which examines the contestants' capabilities in drone testing, drone installation and adjustment, and drone damage determination; Module B includes submodules such as hazard source detection, tilt photography, surveying and mapping, refined patrol, and emergency rescue, which examines the contestants' capabilities in drone surveying, drone patrol, and drone emergency rescue.
It is reported that the drone application technology major that hosts this competition is a newly opened major by Shenzhen Vocational College this year. It aims to cultivate composite innovative high-quality technical and skilled talents who are able to engage in drone aerial photography, drone patrol, drone formation performance, drone surveying, drone project management and other work. In the future, the college plans to form a "elite class" with solid subject knowledge and jointly cultivate talents in drone application development with leading companies in the field of drone 4 DJI .
