Ding Yun is one of Huawei's core executives, and the revenue of the two major businesses he was in charge during his lifetime accounts for nearly two-thirds of Huawei's revenue.

The obituary issued by Ding Yun’s funeral committee stated that Ding Yun has worked diligently in Huawei for 26 years and has made significant contributions to the company’s growth and development. “We express our deep condolences for his unfortunate death! Please focus on your work and turn grief into strength.”

Huawei's first half of 2022 financial report showed that the company achieved sales revenue of 301.6 billion yuan, of which the operator's business revenue was 142.7 billion yuan, the enterprise's business revenue was 54.7 billion yuan, and the terminal business revenue was 101.3 billion yuan. Ding Yun's revenue share in the two major sectors of operator business and corporate business has reached nearly 75% of the company's total revenue.

According to Huawei's official website information, Ding Yun was born in 1969 and graduated from Southeast University with a master's degree. He joined Huawei in 1996 and has served as the company's product line president, global solution sales department president, global marketing president, product and solution president, etc. He is currently the vice chairman of the company's supervisory board, the director of general cadre department, the president of corporate BG, and the president of operator BG.
