Starting from October, India has joined the 5G club. Some countries have been using the service for several years.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of local 5G services. Despite official statements, India has begun to use the next-generation network in the country, not all places are available. On the other hand, he promised to be used nationwide soon.
In July this year, India launched a 5G spectrum auction. The 20-year bands for this auction are 72097.85 MHz, including the 600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands.
5G service will be launched in stages. The first cities in India to support 5G services include Ahmedabad , Bangalore , Chandigarh , Chennai , Delhi , Gandinagal, Gurugram, Hyderabad , Jamnagar, Kolkata , Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune .
Other cities and villages in India will start accessing the next generation of 5G services in the coming months. But the whole process takes 2-3 years. While we may think it is too long, it is understandable given the size of this country.
India said that by the end of this year, nearly 75% of the population will enjoy this service.
At present, 5G is the latest generation of communication technology. Not only does it make downloads faster, it also brings many advantages. It is the basic technology of cloud gaming and autonomous vehicles. 5G services will also bring many benefits to various public services, including health departments, smart agriculture and disaster monitoring.
Unfortunately, even in the above cities, telecom operators such as Airtel, Jio, Vodafone Idea will launch 5G services in stages. Simply put, it will take some time for the 5G function to be used in the 13 cities mentioned above.
Some large regions such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai should be the first to connect to the 5G network.
