On May 20 this year, Qualcomm held the Snapdragon night event, officially releasing the new generation of flagship processors - Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1. Since July, major mobile phone manufacturers have also launched new high-end flagship phones equipped with Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 processors. Recently, there has been news that the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 flagship processor will be delegated to mid-range mobile phones for use.

According to the news from the digital blogger @Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 processor will be released to mid-range phones next year. Currently, there are three models planned to be priced at around 2,000 yuan. The new phone will have obvious upgrades in terms of screen, fast charging and battery life.

It is reported that the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 processor is built on TSMC's 4nm process, and adopts an eight-core architecture with 1 X2 super-large core + 3 A710 large cores + 4 A510 small cores. The CPU main frequency is increased to 3.2GHz, bringing a 10% performance improvement. Compared with previous platforms, the GPU frequency is increased by 10%; under the same performance performance, the GPU and CPU power consumption of Snapdragon 8+ are both reduced by 30%.
Previously, the Snapdragon 870 flagship processor was also delegated to mid-range phones for use. Next year, the decentralization of the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 processor will further improve the performance of mid-range phones.
. With the decentralization of the Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 processor, next year's high-end Android flagship phones are expected to be mainly equipped with Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

@Digital Chat Station Recently revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor may have an ultra-high frequency version of "factory ashes". The scale of GPU has been further improved on this year's basis. The extreme performance of GPU can already be used as the Apple regular A-generation series.

According to previous revelations by the blogger, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor will adopt a new "1+2+2+3" architecture solution, including a Cortex-X3 super-large core, 2 Cortex-A720 large cores, 2 Cortex-A710 large cores, and 3 A510 energy efficiency cores. The GPU has been upgraded from Adreno 730 to Adreno 740, with stronger performance release.

Qualcomm has previously officially announced that it will hold its next Snapdragon Summit from November 15 to 17, and it will be expected to release the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is 1 month earlier than the previous practice released in December.
