As one of the earliest and most influential industrial design events founded in the country, the Guangdong Provincial "Governor's Cup" Industrial Design Competition has been held eleven consecutive sessions. It is understood that this event is themed "New Design•New Development•New Pattern", focusing on the construction of Guangdong's 20 strategic industrial clusters, focusing on the "six major projects" such as "strengthening core, pillars, strengthening chains, optimizing layout, quality, and cultivating soil", and empowering Guangdong's industry with industrial design. It will play an active supporting and leading role in accelerating the improvement of the innovation capabilities of equipment manufacturing industry in our province and improving the level of industrial designers. competition has set up a special competition for equipment manufacturing. This special competition has been shortlisted for 390 rematch events, including 161 in the concept design group and 229 in the product design group.

The product design group of this special competition, robotic works account for about 35%, automation machinery works account for about 15%, and green energy works account for about 19%. These manufacturing projects not only keep up with the hot spots of the times, fit cutting-edge technology, and enrich new industrial designs, but also focus on the transformation and industrialization of results, leading new manufacturing consumption. Such as emergency portable unmanned helicopters, Zhihang SF700A-quadrotor drone, GAC ENPULSE pure electric concept sports car , Tencent IDC operation and maintenance robot, 850 high-speed intelligent unmanned boat, etc., they are all excellent works that can accelerate the improvement of industrial design innovation capabilities and lead the manufacturing of new consumption through design.
In the special competition, more than 200 works were displayed in the form of an exhibition in Southern Software Park , and live broadcasts in real time through guide robots and mobile guide cameras. This special competition will award 100 excellent works to enter the finals, competing for the million-dollar prize of this competition.
