Apple is reportedly planning to launch a larger Apple Watch, a display analyst said. The screen should be close to two inches diagonally.
Several analysts have suggested that a third, larger Apple Watch could appear in the fall. Ross Young, who said he has been in the monitor industry for 25 years, now explains in a tweet that the monitor can be assumed to have a diagonal of 1.99 inches (50mm). This information is backed up by statements from analyst Jeff Pu, who also talked about a 2-inch variant in a paper to investors that is said to be made by Apple vendor Luxshare.
Two possible reasons for the size
Compared to the 45mm version of the Apple Watch Series 7, which has a 1.901-inch display, and the smaller 41mm version, the nearly 2-inch screen will be significantly larger. However, it's unclear what Apple plans to do with it. There are two different hypotheses for this.
One argument is that Apple is planning a more stable outdoor version of the Apple Watch that is also larger. This "rugged" version should be of particular interest to athletes, who are getting more features with expanded fitness capabilities in watchOS 9.
The second hypothesis stems from a rumor about the 2021 Series 7 that many people already believed: there was talk of a new design with a flat display with smoothly sloping case edges on the sides - matching the iPhone. The slight increase in display size due to the lack of rounded edges can also be explained by this.

However, looking at the current Series 7 also shows that high-profile influencers and journalists like Jon Prosser and Mark Gurman are not as accurate with the Apple Watch as they are with other Apple products like the iPhone. Regarding the failure of predictions about graphic design, some people said at the time that the information was not wrong, but the release time was wrong. Now the same is true in terms of display size.
