Hubble Space Telescope has been in service for more than 30 years since its launch, more than twice the lifespan of the original. As time goes by, it has begun to gradually de-orbit, and recently NASA has collaborated with SpaceX to study the adjustment of the Harbin Space Telescope's position through its services.

NASA's recent agreement with SpaceX is about research using SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft to push the Hubble Space Telescope to higher orbits, which can once again extend its lifespan. SpaceX's plan was proposed by them when they collaborated with Polaris Program a few months ago, and NASA said that although they will cooperate in research, they do not intend to allocate any actual funding at present.

SpaceX and NASA will investigate the Hubble Space Telescope and Dragon spacecraft within half a year, and then confirm whether the docking between the two is safe enough and how to effectively move the Space Telescope . Only then will further action arrangements be made. SpaceX said they hope to extend the boundaries of current technology to solve difficult and complex problems in innovative ways.
