School of Materials Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, Professor Zhang Guangzhao shared the new generation of marine anti-fouling materials. He pointed out that marine pollution prevention is closely related to national strategies such as , marine power, and marine pollution prevention is a global problem. In response to this problem, his team proposed a "dynamic surface anti-fouling" strategy, and its core idea is that "surfaces that undergo constant physical or chemical changes can effectively reduce the landing and adhesion of dirty organisms." According to this idea, biodegradable polymer-based dynamic surface anti-fouling materials were successfully developed. The degradation product was organic small molecule , which avoided the pollution problem of microplastic , and achieved static anti-fouling, long-term anti-fouling and ecological friendliness. The related technologies won the first prize of Guangdong Province's technological invention and the gold medal of Guangdong Province's patent.

School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University Professor Zhang Wenbin introduced the design, synthesis and application of topological proteins. "The message I want to convey today is that although the central law limits the natural neonatal protein chain to be linear structure, we can still use the editing of the sequence of DNA to make the new protein spontaneously assemble, shear and react to generate proteins with special topological structures. This adds a new dimension to protein engineering , and has broad application prospects in drugs, industrial enzymes, biological material , etc.."

When conducting the theme report "Category control of nanoviral polymer nanovesicles, and can control preparation and anti-cancer drug delivery", Wang Linge, professor of the School of Frontier Soft Materials of South China University of Technology, introduced that nano drug with nanomaterials as carriers is becoming the new favorite in the pharmaceutical field, affecting the original drug research and development model. Polymer vesicles are a novel nanodrug delivery system. They are similar to the structure of liposome or viruses, and have better membrane structural characteristics, which can achieve various functional and intelligent flexible modifications. With the large-scale controllable preparation of nanovesicle carriers for analog virus polymers, controllable drug loads and precise regulation and release, it will provide effective technical support and industrial chain extension for the development of new products by related pharmaceutical companies and biomedical product companies, becoming a key hot spot in the future pharmaceutical field.
