The Eighth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (later referred to as the Eighth Institute) is responsible for the overall development of the Mengtian Experimental Cabin. The astronauts of the Eighth Hospital withstood the pressure, set expansion of application capabilities as the main focus, quickly integrate the three advantages and capabilities of "structural expertise, institutional innovation, and system integration" to concentrate on intelligence and research.
After many brainstorming , it innovatively proposed the "cargo in and out air lock" function from concept and design, opened two sunroofs for the load compartment, added cargo air lock compartment, installed an automatic hatch door, and installed a load transfer mechanism that can extend out at two levels and flexibly turn 90 degrees, which can realize the automatic in and out function of cargo.
