According to reports, China's 39th Antarctic Scientific Expedition Team has a total of 255 members, and they are in two batches to fight against Antarctica. The second batch will depart from Shanghai on the "Snow Dragon" polar scientific expedition ship on October 31. This is the third time that my country has written a new chapter in the "Two Dragons Exploring the Extreme". The expedition team is expected to return to China in early April 2023.

China's 39th Antarctic scientific expedition will focus on major scientific issues such as response and feedback to global climate change, such as atmospheric composition, water environment, sedimentary environment, ecosystem and other related fields. The

expedition team will also conduct ice and snow environment monitoring and astronomical observations along Zhongshan Station, Taishan Station, , and Kunlun Station; use the "Snow Eagle 601" fixed-wing aircraft to conduct sub-ice terrain detection in Princess Elizabeth's land and other areas; rotate personnel and supplies for wintering at Zhongshan Station and Great Wall Station.

The "Snow Dragon 2" with a total length of about 122 meters, a width of about 22 meters, a designed displacement of nearly 14,000 tons and a cruising capacity of 20,000 nautical miles is the first polar scientific investigation icebreaker independently built by my country.

htmlOn 26, the Waigaoqiao Border Inspection Station of the Shanghai Border Inspection General Station optimized its service model and implemented the "window front + one-stop completion" customs clearance convenience measure, which safely and quickly completed the exit border inspection procedures for the "Snow Dragon 2" and nearly 100 people on board to help them leave the country smoothly.
