"Children, have you ever seen robots dancing?" On the afternoon of October 14, the Shuangqing District "Escort Shao Lei and Popular Science to the Future" volunteer service activity for children in distress was held in Dashui Village, creating a colorful science feast for children in distress. The event is sponsored by the Civil Affairs Bureau of Shuangqing District, hosted by the Municipal Shangde Social Work Service Center, and co-organized by the District Education Bureau, the Shuangqing District Committee of the Communist Youth League, Dashui Village, Ailian Street, and District Saidian Robot Education. At the
event site, the volunteers first explained the relevant scientific knowledge of manned spacecraft, China High-speed Railway, artificial intelligence and other to the students, allowing the students to further deepen their understanding of their scientific principles; then, the volunteers introduced the operating principles and functional uses of different types of robots to the students, and also showed the performance of dance robots. In a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, the students interacted with the dance robots and felt the charm of technology up close.
Under the guidance of volunteers, the students truly felt the magic of science through observation, listening, touching and operating various scientific exhibits. At the same time, it also aroused students' unlimited interest in scientific learning, enhanced scientific awareness, and cultivated scientific literacy.
Next step, Shuangqing District will continue to rely on the science and technology education resource platform to promote the scientific spirit, popularize scientific knowledge, combine science popularization with patriotic education, and continuously launch more high-quality science popularization volunteer service activities to give children's dreams the wings of science.
