Heilongjiang Nursing College Yu Weihan Memorial Hall is located on the Bei'an campus of Heilongjiang Nursing College (No. 95, Huangshan Street, Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province). The building was built in 1964 when it was the Keshan Disease Center in Heilongjiang Province. Research laboratory. Yu Weihan has been working on the prevention and treatment of Keshan disease for decades, and has visited the Heilongjiang Provincial Institute of Endemic Diseases many times to guide the prevention and control of Keshan disease. In 1985, the Heilongjiang Provincial Institute of Endemic Diseases was abolished and a health school was established here. The school was merged into Heilongjiang Nursing College (Harbin) in April 2019 and became the Bei'an Campus of Heilongjiang Nursing College.

The Uyghur-Han Memorial Hall was completed at the end of 2018 and officially open to the public for free, with a construction area of ​​more than 500 square meters. This is the only local memorial hall named after a scientist. The memorial hall consists of 2 exhibition galleries (distribution map of Keshan disease incidence across the country and photos of Yu Weihan in various periods) and 3 exhibition rooms (Yu Weihan office, laboratory, and rescue room). , composed of 5 exhibition halls (Exhibition Hall of Uyghur and Han Deeds, Keshan Disease Exhibition Hall, Bei'an Health Exhibition Hall, Peach and Plum Fragrance Hall, and School History Exhibition Hall). The exhibition hall is equipped with an exhibition stand for Uyghur and Han relics, an exhibition board for the prevention and treatment of Keshan Disease, and the exhibition hall of Keshan Disease at that time. Yu Weihan, male, member of the Communist Party of China, born on January 28, 1922, former president of Harbin Medical University, doctoral supervisor, famous expert on cardiovascular disease and Keshan disease, honorary director of the Endemic Disease Control Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering passed away on November 17, 2010. Academician Yu Weihan is a scientist with outstanding merits in the history of endemic disease prevention and control in my country. He is also a model of advanced intellectuals and an outstanding Communist Party member established by our country since the 1960s.

Academician Yu Weihan is a monument in the history of Chinese medicine. He effectively curbed Keshan disease, which once ravaged 309 counties in 16 provinces across the country and endangered our country's 124 million people. At that time, this "plague" was more rampant than "SARS" and "COVID-19", with a high mortality rate. It was a disease of unknown cause, mainly cardiomyopathy, also known as endemic cardiomyopathy. It was first reported in 1935. It was discovered in Keshan County, Heilongjiang Province, so it was named after Keshan disease. After years of hard work, Academician Yu Weihan led the scientific research team to master the epidemiological characteristics, incidence patterns, clinical manifestations and pathological changes of Keshan disease, and explored effective treatment methods. The cure rate was greatly improved, allowing patients in the ward to The common people saw the hope of resurrecting the dead, and he gave countless patients a second life. Yu Weihan's struggle against the mortal enemy "Keshan disease" lasted for fifty years and half a century. It never stopped or wavered. He made great contributions to the development of national medical and health care, especially Keshan disease. He has dedicated his life's efforts and made outstanding contributions to the treatment and prevention.
