In recent years, sudden deaths of middle-aged and young people seem to have increased. These seemingly healthy young people died in the golden period of their lives, and the majority of the causes of sudden death are cardiogenic death. Early studies have shown that there are about 550,000 sudden deaths in heart disease in my country every year. The proportion of men is significantly higher than that of women. The age group for sudden death is generally between 40 and 50 years old.
Jiahui Medical Cardiology Department Dr. Fei Minzhong explained: "Sudden death often refers to unexpected sudden death in a person who looks healthy on the outside due to natural diseases. WHO stipulates the time of death within 6 hours of onset. Cardiac death accounts for the vast majority, which can be caused by various heart diseases. Sudden, rapid progress, and sudden suspension of cardiac activity with hemodynamic collapse is usually caused by persistent ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation. Symptoms often occur within 1 hour of death."
Although the cause of heart disease is often congenital, it is related to genetic factors. However, with the obvious acceleration of the pace of life in modern cities, people's living habits and methods have undergone earth-shaking changes. Some common phenomena in the elderly have also quietly appeared among young people, causing more and more young people to face the problems of heart disease, such as static travel and work patterns; alcoholism, smoking, and unhealthy eating habits, which in the long run lead to abnormal blood pressure, blood sugar, blood lipids, , and weight exceeding the standard of metabolic syndrome. In addition, in recent years, some investigations and studies on cardiovascular diseases have found that the onset of hypertension, diabetes, , blood lipid disorders, and hyperuricemia are significantly younger, and these diseases can promote the instability of plaques caused by the occurrence of atherosclerosis.
The acute myocardial infarction cases recently received by Jiahui International Hospital are all around 40 years old. In addition, long-term huge study and work pressure leads to mental tension, sympathetic nerve is too excited, and a large amount of catecholamine is released in the body, which will cause abnormal contraction of the heart blood vessels and spasm , inducing acute cardiac events, such as stress cardiomyopathy . At the same time, staying up late and sleep less, insomnia makes the body in a state of overdrawn for a long time; lack of exercise, cardiopulmonary endurance decreases, and immunity decreases. A common cold or diarrhea may turn into severe myocarditis and life-threatening.
In order to effectively prevent the occurrence of sudden cardiac death, Dr. Fei Minzhong suggested starting from the prevention of screening and risk factor control:
1. Screening and risk stratification
Regular and regular health examinations are essential. Even for young people, routine health examinations can find some clues of heart disease. For young people with exercise needs or previous exercise-related cardiac events, load tests such as plate exercise tests or cardiopulmonary exercise tests or even coronary CTAs should be performed promptly, and prior screening for congenital coronary vascular abnormalities or existing severe coronary atherosclerotic stenosis. At the same time, Dr. Fei reminded: For the existing family history of sudden death, existing family members should recommend relevant gene screening. Currently, some hereditary cardiomyopathy and ion channel diseases have been found in certain hereditary cardiomyopathy.
2. Control of cardiovascular risk factors: Treat the disease on
, actively control the risk factors, change the bad lifestyle, is simple and easy to do and has a good economic benefit ratio.
1) low-salt and low-fat diet , reduce the intake of trans fatty acid and saturated fatty acids, reduce the intake of sugar, and reduce the occurrence of hypertension, blood lipid disorders and diabetes
2) Already existing hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia, you should take medication regularly, monitor blood sugar blood lipid regularly, and promote family pressure measurement
3) Quit smoking and drink less alcohol (no more than 2 standard cups a day)
4) Reasonable and regular physical exercise, such as at least 5 days a week, half an hour walk each time, etc. to improve cardiopulmonary endurance (physical exercise should be avoided when there are heart symptoms)
5) Reasonable sleep time: Sleep time and heart time are in a U-shaped relationship. Generally, 6-8 hours are more reasonable, and too much or too little is not beneficial. You should not stay up late for a long time to avoid biological clock disorders
6) Mental health: Learn to manage emotions, avoid long-term exposure to mental stress, actively seek ways to relieve yourself, and conduct psychological counseling and drug intervention with professionals if necessary.
