Anti-epidemic Heroes Spectrum
The Department of Infectious Diseases is a special window. It faces fever patients and patients in risk areas every day, and conducts epidemiological investigations, medical treatment, observation, and nucleic acid sampling for them. It also patiently explains and guides patients under observation to stabilize their emotions, thereby ensuring the orderly progress of fever clinics. After the treatment and observation, environmental surfaces should be disinfected in a timely manner to ensure the safety of the treatment environment. Therefore, Li Hua, the head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, has been highly concentrated every day for more than 1,000 days and did not dare to make any omissions or slacks.

After one round of work, Director Li Hua’s clothes under her protective suit were soaked with sweat, and her face was covered with indentations left by the N95 mask. After a short break, she was still full of energy and started a new round of meticulous and busy work. Because of the special characteristics of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Director Li Hua only needs to eat and live in the hospital during the epidemic. Whenever night falls and she finishes her work for the day, her voice is full of exhaustion. After taking off the cumbersome protective equipment, she sits down to drink water and think about today's work. This moment is so simple and happy.

Time flies, Li Hua started working in 1996 and has been working on the clinical frontline for 26 years. During many years of clinical work and study, Li Hua has always maintained his original intention as a medical worker, keeping in mind the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, studying hard, constantly delving into business, working conscientiously and down-to-earth, and winning many advanced titles. In 2014, he participated in the Handan City Job Expert Skill Competition and won the second place in Handan City in the thoracentesis group. In the same year, he was awarded the honorable title of "Handan City Bethune-style Good Doctor".

The new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic was fierce in early 2020. Because the virus has strong transmissibility, the epidemic spread rapidly across the country and even the world in a very short period of time. In the face of the severe epidemic situation, although Li Hua also had a deep fear of unknown viruses, as a doctor who has been fighting on the clinical front line for a long time, his sense of responsibility to treat diseases and save lives trumped everything. Even though Li Hua had just been discharged from the hospital and his body had not fully recovered, he immediately wrote a letter of invitation and asked to work on the front line of the anti-epidemic, the most dangerous place, to play the vanguard and exemplary role of a party member, and to devote himself to the front-line battle against the epidemic without hesitation. Faced with the severe epidemic, Li Hua and the department staff stayed in the hospital for more than two months and tried their best to reduce infections. During this period of isolation, all the medical staff in the fever clinic were not only responsible for facing nucleic acid-positive patients at any time, but also faced the huge risk of being infected at any time. They were also burdened with thoughts and worries about the children and elderly at home. Li Hua encouraged everyone that our persistence is for the health and safety of the elderly and children at home. Each generation has its own mission, and each generation has its own responsibilities. Director Li Hua’s children are at a critical moment of entering higher education, their parents are old and in poor health, and their lover is away from home for a long time and cannot take care of the family. As the director of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Li Hua did not flinch and bid farewell to her "little family". Regardless of fatigue, she persisted day and night. Although this persistence was small, it protected this "everyone" and guarded the health of the people.
Those who share the same desires will win, and those who work together in the same boat will win. Since the outbreak of this round of epidemics, the Department of Infectious Diseases has worked together to protect this hot spot with higher standards and more precise control. There is a long way to go in the fight against the epidemic. The Fever Clinic adheres to the sonorous attitude of "Have faith in your heart, have responsibilities on your shoulders, and have strength under your feet" and stand firm!
