Wu Guofeng, born in April 1963, is a doctoral supervisor at Guizhou Medical University, director and chief physician of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the affiliated hospital.
Dr. Wu Guofeng carried out video EEG monitoring, percutaneous tracheal rotation dilation ostomy, stereotactic multi-target puncture needle brain biopsy technology, and stereotactic intracranial EEG monitoring. In order to solve the medical problem of high disability and mortality rates of spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage in my country, Wu Guofeng established a three-dimensional, directional minimally invasive precise treatment system for intracranial hemorrhage and promoted it. He also founded the undergraduate major of emergency medicine at Guizhou Medical University, led the emergency medicine department of Guizhou Medical Affiliated Hospital to become a national clinical key specialty, and contributed to the cultivation of high-level medical talents in Guizhou Province and the development and growth of emergency medicine disciplines.

Dr. Wu Guofeng was the first to carry out video EEG monitoring in Guizhou Province in 2000, and in 2004, he was the first to carry out percutaneous tracheal rotation dilation ostomy to provide technical support for the establishment of artificial airways in critically ill patients. In 2009, he was the first to carry out stereotactic multi-target puncture needle brain aspiration biopsy technology in the province to provide guarantees for the diagnosis of difficult intracranial diseases. He used stereotactic multi-target biopsy technology to diagnose the first 5th intracranial NKT cell lymphoma in Guizhou Province in vivo; in 2010 In 2019, the first company to carry out stereotactic intracranial electroencephalopathy monitoring has made the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy in our province to a higher level, and the lesions of refractory epilepsy surgery are positioned more accurately; accurate intracranial pressure monitoring technology is carried out around hematoma, providing a theoretical basis for the use of cranial pressure-reducing drugs mannitol and glycerol fructose to avoid side effects to patients.

The incidence of ICH in my country is much higher than that in Western countries, and the disability and mortality rate remain high; in grassroots hospitals , a large number of ICH patients do not receive timely and effective treatment, so the primary and minimally invasive treatment methods are very important. Comrade Wu Guofeng established a stereotactic minimally invasive precise treatment system for intracranial hemorrhage and promoted it and applied it. He established a CT predictive index system for the expansion of early hematoma after cerebral hemorrhage. He clarified the theoretical basis for the treatment of cerebral hematoma removal technology for the treatment of cerebral hemorrhage, and clarified the mechanism of minimally invasive technology to remove intracranial hematoma combined with specific drugs rosiglitazone and other drugs to treat secondary brain injury after cerebral hemorrhage.

This project has cultivated a Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Team on the original basis, held three national training classes, trained more than 100 clinical backbone physicians, covering more than 50 second-level and above comprehensive hospitals across the country, and participated in the compilation of works such as "Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment of Hypertensive Cerebral Hemorrhage in China" and "Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment of Clinical Hemorrhage in China" and other works. The results of the project were exchanged more than 10 times at international conferences, 1 new doctoral supervisor, 1 new Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Support Plan , and 2 new provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, and cultivated 1 outstanding young scientific and technological talent in Guizhou Province.Since 2019, hospitals at all levels and types have used this technology to treat more than 1,000 patients with cerebral hemorrhage. The hospital stay has been shortened, and many patients have returned to their jobs, continuing to contribute to the society, and achieved good social benefits. This project won one first, second and third prizes in Guizhou Science and Technology Progress Award, and one each of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award and one each of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award.
Strengthen discipline construction, improve diagnosis and treatment level and academic influence
As the main person in charge, Wu Guofeng founded the undergraduate major of emergency medicine at Guizhou Medical University. He began to recruit more than 10 consecutive students in 2003, and cultivated a large number of emergency medical talents in Guizhou Province; he took the lead in establishing the Guizhou Medical University Emergency Emergency Clinical Skills Training Center to escort the emergency emergency skills of college students, graduate students, and clinicians. The Emergency Medicine major has currently recruited more than 10 master's students and 5 doctoral students, contributing to the cultivation of high-level medical talents in Guizhou Province.
