As a skin disease that causes pain, herpes zoster is clinically difficult to treat. Herpes zoster is an acute, inflammatory, and meridian skin disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus. The skin lesions are mostly unilateral or clustered varicella, which are often accompanied by neuralgia and , and generally do not recur after regression. Traditional Chinese medicine calls it "Lover Fire Pill" and "Lover Snake Sore". Commonly known as "spider sore" and "roof dragon".
1. Why do you get shingles!
Most of the causes of the disease are poor emotions, which leads to liver qi stagnation , which will cause long-term depression to turn into heat, or the accumulation of fire poison in the liver meridian of the human body, adding external wind evil, external wind and internal heat fight with human qi and blood, blocking the meridians, and the wind evil will rush up the head and face and cause the disease, or it will be mixed with dampness, and cause the disease in the uterus and lower limbs; even if the fire poison is strong, it will cause the disease in the trunk and overflow on the skin and cause the disease.
Most people who like to eat greasy foods are caused by moisture from the endogenous origin, or due to the dampness of the climate and environment, external dampness such as wading in water and rain invading the human body. If the dampness does not go away for a long time, it will inevitably become depressed for a long time and turn into heat, overflowing on the skin and causing the disease.
. The elderly and weak are mostly due to insufficient positive energy and the body's ability to resist evil is deteriorated, which makes them prone to this disease. Moreover, after treatment, the elderly often have blood deficiency, liver strength, dampness, heat and toxins, which can easily lead to stagnation of qi and blood, poor operation, and severe pain, resulting in poor mood.
2. What are the clinical manifestations of shingles!
Before the rash occurs, there may be systemic symptoms such as mild fatigue, low fever, and sensation. The affected skin feels burning or neuralgia, and there is a significant tenderness. It lasts for 1 to 3 days, and there may be no prodromal symptoms and rashes. It is often found in intercostal nerve, cervical nerve, trigeminal nerve and lumbosacral innervation area . The skin on the affected area first appears flushing spots, and soon papules are as big as millet to soybeans. They are distributed in clusters but do not fuse, and then they quickly turn into blisters. The blister wall is tense and shiny, the blister fluid is clear, and the outer periphery is blushed. The skin between the clusters of blisters is normal. The skin lesions are arranged in a band-like shape along a certain peripheral nerve, which often occur on one side of the body, generally not exceeding the midline. Neural pain is one of the characteristic symptoms of this disease. It can occur before the onset or with skin lesions, which are often more severe in elderly patients.
The course of the disease is generally 2 to 3 weeks, and the blisters are dried up and the scabs fall off and temporary erythema or pigmentation remains. Eye shingles virus invades the trigeminal nerve branch and is commonly found in the elderly. It has severe pain and can affect the corneal formation of ulcerative keratitis. Herpes zoster is caused by viruses invading the facial and acoustic nerves, manifested as external auditory canal or tympanic herpes. When the genic ganglion is involved in the motor and sensory nerve fibers of the facial nerve at the same time, facial paralysis, ear pain, and external auditory herpes triads may occur, called Ramsay-Hunt syndrome. Postherpetic neuralgia Herpes zoster is often accompanied by neuralgia, which can occur before, when the rash occurs, and after the skin lesions are cured, but it mostly disappears after the skin lesions completely subside or within 1 month. A few patients have neuralgia that lasts for more than one month, which is called postherpetic neuralgia.
