On September 23, members of the monitoring and evaluation team organized a "Xi County Children's Nutrition Improvement Project Monitoring and Evaluation Training Meeting" to conduct detailed arrangements and key training on related work matters.
At the monitoring and evaluation site, the staff conducted a detailed questionnaire survey on the basic situation of children after birth, feeding status, parents' mastery of children's nutrition and related health knowledge, and used project standard measurement beds and hemoglobin analyzer equipment to measure height, weight and hemoglobin for children. All monitoring data are reviewed and checked by professionals. For children whose height, weight, and hemoglobin are not up to standard, parents of children will be guided to feed scientifically, balanced diets, etc. on site. At the same time, gifts are distributed to children participating in monitoring. With the active cooperation of township health centers, in the village clinics and infant and young children, more than 320 children aged 6-24 months were successfully conducted in a comprehensive monitoring, evaluation and investigation.
Municipal Expert Group Quality Control Supervision
On the afternoon of September 27, Xinyang City Children's Nutrition Improvement Project Quality Control Expert Group Song Jianxiong, An Yuxin, Yu Quanxia and three people went to Xiaohuidian Township Health Center and Lijiadao Village and Zhangwafang Village to conduct quality control supervision on the monitoring and evaluation site of children's nutrition improvement project and the storage, supervision and distribution of children's nutrition packages. The expert group conducted in-depth exchanges and interviews with relevant personnel through on-site inspection, inquiries and review of materials, etc., and provided guidance on project management materials, publicity, training, nutrition package distribution, follow-up, record and reporting of reports, and preservation of archive materials. At the same time, through on-site home visits, we can learn more about the basic situation of children, feeding situations, and parents' mastery of nutrition and health knowledge.
Through on-site quality control and on-site visits, the expert group fully affirmed the implementation of the Xixian children's nutrition improvement project, and pointed out the problems and shortcomings in the current work, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions, which played a positive role in promoting Xixian's better implementation of the national children's nutrition improvement project in poor areas.
