Today is September 30, 2022, the tenth anniversary of the death of his mentor Wang Zhongcheng . Professor Wang Zhongcheng is his doctoral supervisor, the first academician of neurosurgery at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and is the former president and honorary dean of Beijing Tiantan Hospital. He is the personal founder of the establishment of Beijing Tongren Hospital, Beijing Xuanwu Hospital, and Beijing Tiantan Hospital. He is the first of the most important creators of China's neurosurgery industry. During his lifetime, Professor Wang Zhongcheng always warned himself and his students: work hard for the development of China's neurosurgery!
I am lucky enough to be the third batch of doctors of Professor Wang Zhongcheng; the first batch was the creator of the famous vascular interventional department of the Department of Neurosurgery of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Professor Wu Middle School , the second batch was the current creator of Sanbo Hospital, Yu Chunjiang , Shi Xiangen and Luan Guoming , and the third batch was myself, Zhang Yuqi and Liu Baiyun . I studied my doctorate from 1992 to 1995. After graduation, I stayed in the Department of Neurosurgery of Beijing Tiantan Hospital. After years of rotation of various professional groups, my clinical experience in neurosurgery has obtained basic training foundations that , primary hospital, , could not obtain at all. Fortunately, in October 2000, Professor Wang Zhongcheng sent himself to the Florida Medical School in the United States to study and conduct anatomical research on the microsurgery approach with the world-renowned Professor Rhoton: the current temporal horn drainage shunt, temporal horn internal choroid plexus resection and fourth ventricular drainage shunt are all new technologies that have been studied by himself at that time that have hardly reported in the world's neurosurgery literature.
In the year before I founded the Department of Cerebrospinal Fluid of the General Hospital of Aviation (Li Xiaoyong) in June 2011, that is, in May 2010, I personally reported to Professor Wang Zhongcheng: Cerebrospinal Fluid should be a new branch of neurosurgery and have great potential for development! Professor Wang Zhongcheng was very happy when he heard this and said to me: Make a slide to tell me formally, but don’t talk too much. If it is good, help you launch this project! But after more than a month of preparation, I can’t figure it out, it’s really complicated! Looking back today, it is because my knowledge and experience are far from enough! After the establishment of the Department of Cerebrospinal Fluid of the General Aviation Hospital (Li Xiaoyong) in 2011, Professor Wang Zhongcheng also personally introduced a patient infected with hydrocephalus diversion in Tianjin to come for treatment, and said to the patient's family: My student Li Xiaoyong has unique research in this regard. Currently, he is the only one in China who is specializing in research. You can go find him! It can be seen how Wang Zhongcheng supports the development of cerebrospinal fluid!
Today is the tenth anniversary of Wang Zhongcheng's death. After retirement, I built a larger-scale cerebrospinal fluid department at Beijing Beiya Orthopedic Hospital, achieving the ability to collect more than 100 beds of patients. I personally trained more than a dozen more powerful young doctors in cerebrospinal fluid department, becoming the last stop platform or base for cerebrospinal fluid diseases or complications that are difficult for famous experts in neurosurgery in various high-end hospitals in China. Not only in China, but also in the world, there is currently no comparable scale and medical quality. My current accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid thinking and practical experience has reached the level of being able to report to you personally! Today, I report to you with infinite gratitude: Li Xiaoyong cerebrospinal fluid has developed vigorously, and under your guidance, the cerebrospinal fluid industry must continue to progress and develop, and provide high-quality services to patients with cerebrospinal fluid in China and the world!
