November 8, 2022, the 23rd Journalist Day.
Although it has been 11 years since I left the news front, those years have remained in my memory like a permanently burned and treasured file.
I am a grassroots news soldier and a newsman in the reporting group of a county party committee.
County Party Committee Reporting Group is actually the most grassroots news reporting unit, and many grassroots news are reported from our writings. The county party committee report group is the throat of the county party committee, advocating for the development of the county!
There are actually a lot of news on the front line of grassroots level and very vivid. The objects we report are often front-line cadres, front-line farmers, and front-line workers, reflecting the development of grassroots rural areas and the new style of grassroots rural areas.
I am not from a journalism professional, but I changed from a teacher’s career. In the county party committee report group, I learned and wrote, and soon mastered some basic norms and methods of news interviews and writing.
Everything is progressing through learning, and constantly learning through progress.
Because I have a solid writing skills, I soon mastered some skills in news editing.
In those years, I focused on the overall development of the county, often went to the countryside, into the community, chatted with farmers, and talked with workers. I wrote about many highlights and highlights of the county economy in the development, and wrote about characters, achievements, experiences, and practices. I also published some news and communication works in provincial and municipal newspapers and magazines, and some works have also won awards in the city.
I was not very good at language, but my eloquence has been further improved through constant interviews, and my courage is much greater when I approach the masses.
Those years of journalism experience were a rare and memorable wonderful journey for me.
I didn’t really specialize in journalism for a long time. In about two years, I gained a lot and rich in just a short time.
The grassroots journalism work is a very down-to-earth task. Without direct contact with the masses, direct contact with rural communities, and in-depth understanding of the people's sentiments, you cannot write works.
In particular, we only have journalists from the county party committee reporting group. If the works are to be published in provincial and municipal newspapers, the works they are not easy to be published in the newspapers without a certain news value. Because each newspaper and magazine has a large number of serious journalists and editors, we can only be regarded as "correspondents", just a "soldier" on the news front.
Two years of journalism have allowed me to have a more comprehensive understanding of the county and people's conditions; and be familiar with this land that gave birth to me and raised me.
Later, my position changed and I went to the county's economic department and other administrative departments. The accumulation of journalism experience has had a positive impact on my later work. Being able to write, writing and coordinating is learned from journalism.
