According to Qichacha APP, ReFa beauty instrument affiliated company Eumtiji (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. was fined 450,000 yuan by the Pudong New Area Market Supervision and Administration Bureau for publishing false advertisements. The penalty decision shows that in order to increase the sales of "Refa's Zhimeiji Jimus and Ejaculation Radio Frequency Beauty Device", the party released an advertisement for "Japanese anti-aging experts Recommended by Sa Kazuko Hibirino (Doctor, Ph.D.,... Director of the Council of the China Anti-Aging Promotion Association" without verification.
After investigation, there is no Japanese doctor Hibisa Kazuko, who was the director of the board of directors announced by the China Anti-Aging Promotion Association. In addition, without experiments and testing for hair quality improvement, the party involved published an advertisement on the sales page of "Lifazhi Meiji Hair Dryer" that "No damage to the hair, no perm, no scalp, and hair quality improvement", claiming that the hair dryer has the function of improving hair quality.
Home beauty instrument safety risk events frequently occur
China National Power Grid and China Inspection and Quarantine Science Research Institute jointly conducted a comparative test of home beauty instruments. The evaluation targets were 8 radio frequency home beauty instruments from 7 brands including NEWA, Yameng , Tripollar, etc. The test results show that the temperature of the Chupu Tripollar Stop Eye beauty device exceeded 63.7℃ during use, which poses a great risk of scalding. In order to simulate human skin more accurately, the staff also preheated the pig skin to 35℃ and conducted temperature rise tests on the eight radio frequency beauty instruments under normal conditions. The results show that the temperature of the brand beauty device at 4 detection points exceeds 70℃.
On October 18, 2020 CCTV's "Weekly Quality Report" program disclosed the test results of 10 beauty instruments for brands such as Refa, Yameng YA-MAN, and Nottime, which are popular on the market. Two of them have heated beauty instruments that are not standard for temperature control, which is prone to scalding. In addition, the Shenzhen Consumer Council evaluated 5 micro-current (no heating function) household beauty instruments and 5 ionic (with heating function) household beauty instrument samples last year. Among them, 2 ionic beauty instrument samples have functional surface temperature and uniformity test items that do not meet the relevant standards, which may lead to the risk of low-temperature scalds and burns the skin dermis.
