In the early 1990s, when I was just starting work, I happened to pass by Tong Chongkou and got out of the car and stopped for a short time. I saw the waterwheel for the first time there. It is dark, round, three meters in diameter, shaking, squeaking, and turning slowly. The yellow earthen houses and the black wooden houses are jagged and straightforward.
