The sheet metal processing industry is the basic industry of machinery manufacturing industry , and it has gradually formed its own development trend and context with the rapid development of the economy. It is also widely used in many industries such as automobiles, communications, and machinery. So what are the common sheet metal processing techniques? The following is an introduction by Zhong Yilong editor.
The common sheet metal processing technology is as follows:
1. Cutting:
There are many ways to cut, referring to the process of the workpiece being punched and cut by laser cutting or CNC punching machine. NC CNC cutting and laser cutting cutting can be used for sheet processing parts with thicker and more complex workpieces; the shearing bed can cut out workpieces with larger shape, length and width of the workpiece; the punch can be used in batches to process the shape and round holes of the workpiece.
2. Flip
Flip mat is also called hole extraction, which refers to the process of using molds to form round hole edges on ordinary punches or other stamping equipment. It is to draw a hole of a specified size in the pre-punching hole, so that the teeth exposed by the workpiece can be stronger, and are generally used on workpieces with a thickness of less than 1.5mm.
3. Press-rive
Generally, it refers to the process of firmly riveting and crimping the workpiece using a punch or hydraulic rivet machine.
4. Bending
Bending is the process of molding the workpiece from bending machine using a folding bed and related bending molds, which can strengthen the strength of the processed workpiece to a certain extent.
5. Welding
Common types of welding processing include two protective welding, argon arc welding , electric welding, robot welding and bump welding, etc. The main process is to weld 2 or more parts together to achieve the purpose of processing finished products or assembled accessories; or the edge seams of a single part need to be welded to make the bent edges precise to increase the folding strength.
6. Surface treatment
The surface treatment includes phosphate film powder spraying, electroplating of multicolor zinc, chromate , paint, oxidation, etc. The workpiece after the phosphate film can be electrostatic powder spraying is suitable for cold-rolled plates and galvanized plates; electroplating of multicolor zinc is generally treated with cold-rolled plates and machined parts; chromate and oxidation are generally used for surface treatment of workpieces of aluminum and aluminum profiles; surface treatment is to make the overall appearance of sheet metal parts and protect themselves and protect the surface treatment method. The specific surface treatment method is determined according to the requirements of the customer's material.
7. Assembly
It is to form multiple parts or components together according to the requirements of the drawings to form a complete workpiece product. The assembled workpiece may be a finished product or a semi-finished product.
The above is about what common sheet metal processing technologies are. In general, the main processes of sheet metal processing include cutting and unloading, CNC bending, punching and shearing, stamping, rounding, riveting, welding and other methods and processes. All sheet metal processing technologies are based on the fact that the sheet metal engineer needs to carefully design and label the product drawings before operation.
