Hengyang is located at the intersection of Leishui and Xiangjiang River. It is located in the southern part of Hunan Province. It is the sub-center city of provincial in Hunan Province. According to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "2021 Urban-Rural Development Statistical Yearbook", Hengyang has a population of 956,800 (the data of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has always been known for its old age), and the built-up area is 145 square kilometers. It is the third largest city in Hunan Province that deserves its name. The urban area of Hengyang given in the yearbook is also 145 square kilometers, which means that Hengyang's urban area has been completely full. With some building complexes outside the urban area, it is normal for Hengyang's main urban built-up area to exceed 145 square kilometers. During the Qipu Times, the permanent population of Hengyang City was 6.6452 million, and the regional GDP reached 384.031 billion yuan in 2021, an actual increase of 8.1%.
